Sigh. This is slated to be probably my last game this year, so its dumping rain. Not heading up there if there are any signs of Gorilla Monsoon-ish conditions this evening. Just not happenin.

I'm on vacation that week, we have plans, and I am not coming back into the city when I get a week off from it.

LOL @ Gorilla Monsoon! Yeah, this sucks. Tonight and tomorrow night will be the last meaningful games until the playoffs. As much as I love baseball, it's very hard to motivate to make the Manhattan-Bronx-Hoboken trek to see Colter Bean and Aaron Guiel take on the Baltimore Orioles in a glorified scrimmage.

My thread was specific to inclement weather. This thread can apply to any aspect of tonight's game, for instance it can turn into a discussion on how many pitches Wang will throw before being pulled.
This thread, has the potential for anarchy.

I am sure it wont go that way. Pointless to talk about any aspect of the game when the odds of said game being played are nearly zilch.

Question for a guy like me is not if they are going to play the game or not...its if its worth it for me to come out and watch said game. Dont feel like getting soaked, and especially dont feel like being in the ballpark till midnight, including through delays. Rainout was the furthest thing from my mind....I am thinking of a rainy night at the ballpark.

They are not going to push the teams to play in the soaking rain cause "they cant have two doubleheaders in two days." First off, the Yankees are playoff bound, and its unfair to risk injuries in what is really a meaningless game. There is more a chance the game is called and never made up, than stuffed into dual doubleheaders over the weekend.
That in itself is not "too much" as the managers have the rosters to move guys in and out and get people their rest. The teams are NOT battling for the pennant right now. There is no reason for anyone to be pushed willy-nilly.

Actually, it should be ok by game time tomorrow. They should definitely play both. But it's very possible we may be rained out tonight.

Well, I'm officially out. Did not like what I heard from the latest forecast on 1010-WINS. Basically this is going to be hanging around, with no sign of letup at all through the evening commute hours. Later in the night its going to come down hard at times, at others very little, and at some maybe none. But the rain wont be gone for good until tomorrow evening/night.
Have fun tonight, all ye brave souls.

While I don't expect it to happen, back to back doubleheaders is not out of the question, since Philly did it a few weeks ago.
They'll probably wait until 9-10pm to call it
