Nettles' team is no joke. Kinsler has exceeded expectations, if that's possible. He's tearing it up. And think...it's not even 90 degrees down there yet.

The good news for me is that my pitching is starting to come around, but the bad news is that I have a few people who are red-hot, and I fear what will happen if they all cool off at once.

Kinsler is the shit. I have him in my other league. Dave, other than Broxton, your pitching has a bit of work to do... Ted Lilly kicks your rotation's ass.

Standings are finally updated. Check out the race between Tom and Larry--old rivals, 2 points apart. Right smack in the middle of the overall standings.
Check out Pops not in last place!
Nettles--164 Justin--150 Evan--114 Knoblauch--98 Pops--80 John--76 Larry--76 Tom--70 Neil--64 Laura--61 Suzy--57 Jose--52

I'd take Liriano and/or Verlander over Lilly any day of the week. In fact, I did. ;D

Wow now Zambrano goes all D.L. on me. Has there ever been a team to go wire to wire in last place ? I want to change the team name to the D.L.'ers !!! The one's that aren't on the D.L. are playing like they are.Magglio has Sucklio'ed. Reyes has been in a Dayez. Burrell has played like he's in a Barn Ya'll. But worst of all is Alexei RamÃrez having the sophomore jinx at 2b for the Wolftone's Or the hence forth know in as D.L.'ers !!! Q up Tom kicking me when I'm down in 3...2...... I would not name Tom's team the Lake Woebegoner's becauses his team is not above Avenge. LOL

I have had as many top names on the DL as you. You would not know it, comparing where I am in the standings compared to your mess of a team.

Pops, I'm looking at your team, and I'm wondering who being on the DL (besides Ervin Santana) is really killing you. Zambrano just got on there, so he's not to blame for your plight. And the rest of the guys are either late picks, FA pickups, or, in Smoltz' case, a guy you knew would be out until June.
Most of your team is just playing like shit. Still early, but a big early hole can be difficult to overcome. Reyes will figure things out. But it could be a long year, regardless of whether or not those guys get off the DL.

I forgot about Mauer. But Mauer could have gotten you 100 points in the last 2 weeks and you still would be entrenched in last.

He lost Mauer, I have been without McCann. We all have these problems. Life goes on. Suck it up, Pops.

Bad news: Neil loses Manny for 50 games.
Good news: Neil gets A-Rod back for next week's lineup.
I see no reason why Neil shouldn't maintain his healthy lead over Pops.

Odds are, this gets worse for Neil. I'm fairly confident you will see an NA next to Manny's name, not a DL obviously. That means no replacement on the roster. He has to carry him or release him. That blows.

The Tom/Larry rivalry took another turn yesterday, with Tom on top of Larry for the first time in a few days.

Isn't Manny partly at fault for that? Next time, tell the douche to get suspended on a Friday so Neil can fix his roster. ;D
