Both races -- this session and overall -- are insane. Fucking 109 points, Larry?

Well, that could have been MUCH worse. He had FOUR starters going. One of them alone got 50 of his points. So that means another 3 starters and his bats got him 59 points...that seems like a missed opportunity to me, to really lay on the points.

Assuming Balls and Tom's math has been accurate along the way in this thread, Nettles wins the session by 0.67. Here's the play-by-play, since the guy who said he would pay attention didn't pay any attention at the end until I told him what was happening: - I had roughly a 10 point lead (factoring in Randy Wolf's win), and the Dodgers were leading 7-2 going into the 9th
- Kouzmanoff gets Nettles a point for a single
- James McDonald continues to load the bases without getting anyone out, which puts the tying run on deck
- This gives Broxton a save opp with a 5-run lead in the 9th
- Broxton gives up a 2-run single scoring Kouz (cancelling each other out, as neither run is charged to Broxton)
- Broxton then strikes out the next batter, cutting my lead to virtually nothing
- Broxton then gives me hope, going 3-0 on the next batter before fighting back to strike him out, giving Nettles a virtual 1-point lead (factoring in the save)
- Broxton induces a ground ball for the final out
That's it. That's the list. I'm going to bed. Congrats to Nettles, pending official word. I am disgusted at the decisions I made this week, but I had a lot go well for me to even be in that position. At least I gained on Larry and Tom this session and continue to fight off Nettles, who just won't go away. Good fight, good night.

Hey, I was on it. You cant blame me for being a little grumpy that I got myself back into things, to fall 13 points out of sneaking in for the session. Once Kemp didnt get to bat in the 8th, I put wrestling on.
Man, I never imagined a save scenario would pop up. I watched most of the game, and the Padres were for the most part anemic with the sticks. I was basically calming you down, I didnt foresee this sort of trouble.
Thats a tough one. Well, good on you for having a very good night regardless, and doing the things you said in regards to the overalls. I too am satisfied with where I am heading to bed tonight, I like my chances at a final run. When Cliff Lee and Raul Ibanez are the guys who killed my session and totals, Im ok. I dont foresee those problems continuing.

This is when baseball is no fun. Justin must have been flipping out seeing Broxton jog into the game.
Jesus, Pops, wtf?

Funny thing is, I went to bed early, but I knew Wolf had the lead and figured the only way I could pass Justin was if Broxton got a save chance. Wow. Great battle.

I was a bit angered at the outcome of the "best session ever."

No doubt, but it was still the best session ever.

Um....not for every one.
Hey my team can only Hope to get 10 points every night.
This is the end of me using the name Wolftones. In Softball my first draft pick Gbang for SS goes on the D.L. this year my first pick Jose Rays SS goes on the D.L. I lose a high pick outfielder to a no show. I draft Magglio Ordóñez, he plays like he's a no show. I lose another outfielder D. Brown to the D.L. my #2 pick Carlos Beltrán goes on the D.L.
Like Theobald seeking Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's help. I too ask Emperor Tom & General Balls not to Expel me from the league next year.
