Pretty exciting day in fantasy, save for the issue we are currently having with the rules. Pujols paying immediate dividends. Nice job by the top 3...not names you would normally see up there.

Did Milton have his entire staff pitching?

No, but he did have 3 of his 5 starters going...and they all won. And Nolasco and Hamels haven't gone yet.
He also did all that despite Heyward and Polanco combining for 24 points on his bench. Never know how a rookie will turn out, and you figure he probably starts slowing down the second half of the year, but Heyward might give Milton a real nice problem to have this season, particularly before the All-Star break.

Could Grover be giving the old "fuck you" to his 47 session losing streak? Did anyone tell Evan that the season started?

Yeah, Grover had a real good night, despite Lester's 0.
Baseball really kicks in for real today. Everybody plays. Here we go.
Funny moment at the end of the Brewers/Rox game that cheered me up after I watched highlights of Ian Stewart rip it up for Grover. I flipped over after the Yankee game to see Hoffman jogging in to close it out. After Stewart rips a fucking triple and then scores on a groundout to make it 7-5, I turn to my girl and say, "Wouldn't it be perfect if CarGo (yes, I said CarGo) gets on, and then Giambi comes up and strikes out to end the game?" just like old times. Gonzalez gets on, and Giambi goes too far on a check swing with 2 strikes to end it. Gave me a giggle.
Other than that, last night was uneventful in fantasy for me.

Really? With a lead under 35 points? Id imagine his starters are all burnt too, while I still have Tim Hudson in the tank, and who knows what the Hell Walkman John has going on.
Not worried about Grover in neither the long term nor the short term. Check out Evan bringing up the rear from the get-go.

Grover is clearly on a mission to end his 47 session losing streak. It's in the bag. And thinking about it, I don't know what the consecutive session win streak is. I'll have to look that up. But I think it's only 2.

Grover's team is quite solid this year. I strongly believe he will be a contender for the title.

I'm happy so far. In first and my number one starter got me a 0.
I think this is going to be a fun year for the league. I predict a photo finish.

For the record I got Jorge De La Rosa tomorrow and Jered Weaver pitching Saturday. But won't make a difference if the bats have another night like last night (8-37, 7 of the hits singles)

Marmol always an adventure. 2-0 lead, gives up a single, a walk, a deep fly to the track by former Yankee legend Eric Hinske, and strikes out to to get the save without giving up a run.
Gonna be that kind of year for the Dicks.

The top 3 in this league are off to a fantastic start. Grover's attempt to break his session losing streak is in jeopardy, but down does not mean out.

I know the season is only a few days old and this doesn't mean anything but it is strange to see the 3 teams that are 2 time champions all in the bottom 3 of the league.

Final update before the session closes. Historically, when Milton wins a session, it's by the slimmest of margins. I just used the words "Milton" and "slim" in the same sentence. Milton actually holds the record for smallest margin of victory by winning the session by 1/3 of a point a few years back.

I'm ok with my standing, even if I lost the session.
In 4th and have yet to see my #1 starter and #1 hitter take off. Once they get going I think I will be in business.

The two biggest losers in league history, Milton and Grover, are off to a great start, and ready to prove that their fortunes are going to turn. Milton wins the session, but Grover almost stole it with a no hitter by Ubaldo Jimenez.
Laura should take note that no hitters help teams when the pitcher is not on the bench.
With this win, Milton officially is no longer the biggest loser in league history anymore. Grover, who now has a 48 session losing streak, now holders that honor--by just $5.
