And again, I have been quite vocal on this board about being anti Joba's antics.
So, I'm safe here to criticize Frankie's, who is way over the top compared to Joba.
Joba's celebratory acts are more in line with the shit Derek Lowe pulls....but again, Frankie is a clown.

I miss Jackass here.
The Angels have totally baffled me this offseason.
For a team that was damn near expected to win the World Series last year, they've done nothing but get worse this off-season....and the puzzling part is that the purposely chose to get worse.
They didn't lose out on Rodriguez, they chose not to pursue him. They didn't lose out of Tex, they chose to drop out of the bidding. They are choosing to ignore the possibility of signing Manny. They have expressed no interest in Abreu, who would really fit nicely in the heart of that order with Vlad and Hunter.

Being an transplant NY'er, I've been an Angels season ticket holder for the past 4 years, to get my baseball fix. This year I choose not to renew my tickets and agree that this is a team that went from favorites to flounders. The A's may be the best team in that division and all of Moreno's rhetoric about spending is all malarky!!! That lineup is just terrible at the moment, Vlad looked very OLD last year and Tori Hunter isn't gonna carry a team. All this hype for Howie Kendrick, but c'mon. I read today that they've started discussing parameters around a Chone Figgins for Jermain Dye type of deal which would def. be a boost for the lineup. Though even with Dye, they loose a great on base and utility guy in Chone. 2002 was a fluke, the Angels have seen better days. I'm also tired of all this noise on how great Scossica is, besides 02' what the hell has he done?? Couple of exits in 1st rounds, sure he's beaten the Yanks, but besides that nothing!!!

I'm a Jermaine Dye mark. He would be huge for that team.
I've wanted him in Yankee pinstripes for a long time.

Holy Crap!!!
You guys didn't have the luxury of 830AM Angels Talk after tonight's game.
Most callers sounded like the radio announcer during the Hindenburg disaster!
So far tonight I've heard calls for Fuente to be sent down (yeah, THAT'S gonna happen after that big contract), that Scott Shields is a victim of the WBC conspiracy, that Escobar should close.
Whacko Angels fans.

Fuentes got one fucking pitch. EVENTUALLY someone is going to catch on to the fact that he's throwing only 4-Seam fastballs. It only took Jorge 6 tries...

Fuentes is all about his funky delivery. if batter spick up the ball, he'll get wrecked, ala Okajima

I don't like about Fuentes, the same thing I don't like about Hughes, which is the same thing I loathed about Sterling Hitchcock....
They take their hand out of the glove very early and the hand, ball, and grip are exposed almost through the entire windup.

It doesn't matter if people see the ball when you only throw one pitch over and over!

John Lackey had an ERA of INFINITY, starting yesterday's game.
As soon as he recorded 1 out, it dropped to 27.

Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler have been released by the Angels.
Hudler is good enough, funny enough, that I hope he lands elsewhere.
I think we need to start a petition to have Waldman replaced with Hudler.

Looks like Matsui and the Angels have come to terms. Impending announcemen coming soon.

CHO...i have a question.
I'll be in the LA area at the end of the month and want to hit an Angels game. I think theyre playing the Blue Gays when im there. Would this be an event that I;d need to secure tix ahead of time or just walk right up and get a single at the window?

You should be able to walk up and get a single for that.
I just checked - there are still tickets onlline. You might purchase one now just to be safe, but I wouldn't think there'd be a problem getting a ticket on game day for the Blue Jays.
