Two quality games by Cole Hamels, both times leaving with a lead and set up for the win.
Two times the Phillies blew it.
24 points down the drain. Fucken monkeys.

Every hitter on my team has had a terrible first week+.
Which, of course, means that they will all get hot the second half of April, and I will win Session 2.
Unless the pitchers go cold.
Could be a long year for The Swingin' Dicks.

My team pretty much sucks overall right now, so if that indicates a hot second half of April, I'm stoked!

A hot second half of April for you should shoot you all the way to 7th place.

I'm officially worried. Not to the point where I'm going to do anything rash, but I don't like getting this far behind this early in the year. I mean, I'm less than 200 points out of first, but I'm just not very comfortable. Maybe I've lost my touch. I think the rest of the league has finally caught up to me for good.

justin, dont get down, its so early. i still think you are definitely a top fantasy competitor in this league, but i will say, the competition in this league is VERY VERY strong. im glad to be a part of it. pretty much everyone in this league really knwos what they are doing.

Yeah, it really is. It's like, once you came along, everyone started to figure out how to play this game. Before you came along, the only two in this league that really knew what they were doing were Suzy and I. Actually, Fat Rak was formidable as well. But now...hell, even TOM won some money a couple of years ago, to give you an idea. I'm still very discouraged.
And as I think of some nice gems to go grab, it seems like every time I look up a player, it says "Wolftones" next to his name.
The only teams I think aren't that good are Jose's, Laura's, and maybe Knoblauch's. I'm thinking my hitting will come around, but I'm just discouraged.

Eh...Suzy? Um, not in the league before this year.
Guess we know who Justin is rooting for.

You know, it's one thing when calling Ted Lilly the ace of my staff is a silly gimmick... it is totally different when he actually IS the 1 spot in my rotation... I am so screwed.

Justin was 242.33 points out of first place at the end of Session 9 in 2004. He won the league. At the end of session 6, which is about the halfway point and right about the All Star Break, he was in 8th place.
At the end of the first session in 2004, Justin was in last place. 247.67 points out of first.

The Giants bullpen is a joke. Matt Cain needs to call the police, cause he was robbed again.

Wow looks like Chris Sampson spit the bit & I put Garland on the bench . I must say of all the pitchers I was looking @ I did not think Jason Hirsh was the way to go but he had a good night for the one armed Sheriff . Must be the humidor up there ?

Eh, looks like my Zach Greinke experiment has come to a grisly end.
2 innings, 8 hits, 5 runs....
Way to go, dick!

Wow, did I pick a great day to kick up the Matt Cain / ACE discussion!
I think he's cruising to a NEGATIVE SEVENTEEN POINTS by morning!

Kyle Lohse with 40 points tonight, on my bench! Whoo hoo!
Well, my only solace is that there is no one else in this league that would have had him off their bench either.

I put him on waivers and picked up Germano to replace him. I mean, the guy was 0-6 with an 8+ ERA over his last six starts before today

Not sure what sucks more... my pitching or my rotation decisions...
So the word is that Zambrano is turning it around... he has been working on his arm slot or some shit and he figured out his mechanical problem... 2 of his last 3 starts were good, so I took the gamble...
5 IP, 13 hits, 6 ER, 2BB for the loss & a stellar -16 points!
Matt Morris got the W and a solid 23 points, on my bench.

So I have been carrying Jason Hirsh for almost the entire season. I like the guy a lot, but it was not happening. Despite a servicable ERA and decent numbers, the 2 wins (and the 6 losses, certainly) were a big problem. Enough was finally enough. I sat him out when I did my lineups on Saturday.
So of course he goes into Baltimore and hurls a complete game, good for 30 points. I dont think I have gotten 30 points out of him in a span of 3 starts in a row, period. Just my luck!

Gee I was happy that the M's moved up Félix Hernández to start Sunday vs the Jay's only to get a -3 Is he still banged up , he has not been the same since he came of the D.L.

Check it out... I have improved my pitching to the point where I am tied for 2nd in the league with 56 wins, but I'm still more than 250 points behind the pack.
