Here's another one to ponder.
"I am your father, Luke. Give in to the dark side of the force, you knob. "
I'll give the next line if it's needed but I think it'll give it away.

I mentioned it to a co- worker and he knew it right away.
"Do The Right Thing"
Good one Chris.

Shit, all I can remember is Daphne Zuniga ( ), Rick Moranis, and Joan Rivers.....ohhh shit, and John Candy...how can I forget him? OK...hmmm....sounds like something that might be from a John Candy movie.

Since I used a lifeline (twice) and asked a co-worker for help, I'll give you a clue.
You've named the actor that is in Spaceballs and this movie in question.

HA! Damn, my lifeline didn't help me much! All I can think of is John Candy, and the only John Candy movie I can think of for which this quote would make sense is Spaceballs...and we've already established it's not spaceballs. John Rivers - no idea what other movies she's been in. Daphne Zuniga - didn't she do a movie with John Cusack? I could picture him calling someone a knob. Rick Moranis - I know it's not Ghostbusters...hell I don't know...Honey I Shrunk The Kids? ?

Holy Crap, I totally forgot about that movie.
Great movie too. I haven't seen it in ages, so I probably wouldn't have remembered the line.

The Bald One is correct.
Dave Thomas says it to Rick Moranis.
He responds, "He's seen Jedi like 17 times eh"
I thought that line would give it away for sure.
John Candy was actually in both flicks, (spaceballs and strange brew). The Oktoberfest scene of that movie was shot in my hometown.
A few years ago I was working in film and this guy I worked with had been in the industry for years and one night he was telling me about his first gig. Someone told him about a crew that was looking for some help, he shows up on set and he gets the job. The movie was Strange Brew, he set up all the monitors in the Brewmeisters (sp?) HQ and the video game unit that Bob plays in the employee room at the brewery.
TV's and monitors have to be "timed" when you are going shoot them on film (or some video)or the image on them appear to be scrolling or flipping....it's a frame rate thing.
He said he was there when they filmed the scene where the gate closes on the van and that it remains one of the funniest things he's ever seen....he said no two takes were alike because of all the adlibbing.

OK back to the game.
I think this one is going to be a little harder.
"You can't blame me. They've been making statues for some two thousand years, and I've only been collecting for five. "
I start off with a small clue. It's truly a classic film.

As an educated guess, I would go with Maltese Falcon. I never saw the movie, but I believe it was about a statue, and it's considered one of the all time greats.

Nice guess by MSB but no cigar.
Ok 1 more clue. It's pre 1950 so it's B&W.
About the "no mustard" clue. Is baseball a part of this movie?

Still no clue about the statue, although I was sure Balls was right when I read his guess.
A hint on the "What, No Mustard" quote: a fat guy says is, and belches loudly right before. No baseball involved...ok that's two hints.

Another one from a movie I didn't see, though this one I remember from the commercials. Pretty in Pink.
I think.
That was one of the few John Hughes movies I haven't seen from that era. Big fan of Sixteen Candles.

Ah, the movie that will forever put John Cryer's sexuality in question, and produced a great Psychedelic Furs tune.

Mine was indeed Citizen Kane.... one of my favorite movies. I know it's old but it's just a great film.
Chris's quote....hmmm I wasn't thinking Meatballs. I'll save what I was thinking so I can use a quote from it later.
I would have never got Rose's quote.
