Knowing exactly how much it pisses people off, I am now considering making all transactions by check, now.
By the way, on my old checks, I had a picture of a rooster near my name and address, and when clerks would mention it, I would say "I like handing out pictures of my cock."
When I purchased my new checks, I selected a graphic of a baseball player for the top left, near my name/address. There is also an area above the signature line, that I could put two lines of verbiage of my choosing. All my checks say:
California! Uber Alles! DIA - Section 102, Row C, Seat 30
This thread is like a laboratory for those of us anti-social enough to cultivate irksome behavior.
Thanks, Angry Thread!

WTF man..... I just read on CNN.com that Paris Hilton was freed from prison due to Medical Issue. The article goes on to say that she was "reassigned" to her home where she will stay for the next 40 days of her sentence. LIKE THATS A JAIL.... Gimme a fuckin break.
This CUNT gets freed after 3 days in the pokey and everyone of us if / had we got locked up would have been in there for the whole fuckin sentence. This is totally malarky.
So what the jail has an outbreak of a nasty staph infection, why should she get this treatment.. Free the other inmates and let them be confined to their homes for the remainder of the sentence. This twat gets preferential treatment cause of her name and fortune. FUCK IM PISSED.

I was pissed off when I read the same thing. Boo-hoo...house arrest in the Hilton compound. Her time would be better served finishing her sentence in the projects of South Central LA.

Prosecutors of Paris Hilton are so pissed they are looking to hold the sheriff who released her in contempt of court. It's not over.

I believe this lady was paying with her own personal check. The checkbook was in her wallet. IMHO...she's a deadbeat. And this isn't even a matter of a post-dated check...this was Wal Mart...in my mind I envision that she wrote a check with that day's date on it, knowing full well that it takes at least a couple of business days for that check to ultimately be processed. She was an asshole - she should hook up with Kyle Farnsworth - another asshole.

BTW - I have no idea why there's such outrage over Paris Hilton. Outrage, to me, is a function of shock and surprise. Is anyone truly surprised by this? I mean...you didn't see this coming a mile away? They already cut her sentence in half a few weeks ago for "good behavior" before she ever served a day. How the hell did she exhibit good behavior before ever setting foot in the jail? Come on guys...this was a no-brainer...you knew she wasn't going to serve time. Not only that...she was scheduled to appear before the judge that sentenced her this morning, and they let her phone in her court appearance.
The rules are different for some people...this is not news.

What would cause more outrage would be if people were not outraged by the obvious special treatment. Yes, the rules are different for some people. But it's ok to not like it.

Sure it's ok to not like it. It's just shocking that people are acting shocked over this. The writing was on the wall a long time ago. There was plenty of time for people to be outraged from the get-go....but NOW people are surprised? She's been getting special treatment from Day 1 of this ordeal with her sentence cut in half, with the actual severity of the charge being demoted way below what's deserved, with the leeway she's been given on when she can start serving her sentence.

I don't think it's shock. I think it's annoyance.

The good news is that prosecutors aren't buying into it. They haven't given up the fight.

IMO, i think she walked in the front door of the jail and was escorted right out the back door without stepping foot in the cell... No pictures or evidenciary support has been illustrated that she indeed stayed in her cell 23 hours a day.
MONEY TALKS.... PARIS WALKS... Look what happened with OJ. If you have money you get off. Nuff said.
Thats said, i hope this cunt gets hers, stuck in prison and it breaks her. There are plenty of inmates that are "mentally unfit" to stay in prison... YET they serve their term and be done with it or die serving. 23 days is by far a short term... she cant handle 2 days.. people i know have been in the clink for 7-20 years.. thats a prison term.

We should maybe target some of this annoyance toward the politicos who have basked in the warm light of a TV camera.
The Fucking DA held several press conferences. Several. On a drunk driver to boot. Anyone think he would have done that if it was some nobody? Let’s see, the DA holds press conferences to prove how tough he is against celebrities – lot’s of great face time for a run for mayor perhaps??
The sheriff has to run an election campaign every 4 years – which is mindboggling in it’s conflict of interest potential. Not to mention that the Sheriff makes $260,000.00 a year – one of the highest salaries of any public official in the entire NATION!! Anyone think a nice contribution from the Hilton family wouldn’t help him keep his cushy job?? That’s a good reason to concoct one BS medial issue.
I mean, fuck, she was in PC anyway, alone, and her only neighbors were Cop Convicts, and fellow celebs. Could the sheriff had made it any easier? I guess so.
She’s got money, and money talks, but there are plenty of people who wanted some of her limelight for their own gain too. This whole thing would have gone away if no one had decided to publicize this thing for their purposes.

Anyone running against this sheriff would have a pretty good weapon against him to show he's not interested in pursuing justice.

Baca is a shitty Sheriff, but to be honest, most of the celebrity handling comes at the hands of the LAPD.
Pitches was the best Sheriff in LA County.
The Sheriff rarely runs on the strength of keeping people in jail. The DA does that and recent DA's have fucked that up. Philobosian took over the DA office and tried to run on the McMartin case and that was a fuckup.
Remember that it's not celebrity as much as money. I'm never surprised by what money is able to buy. Which is why one of my mottos is: EAT THE RICH.

I agree Lemmy, Baca is dunce, but thank goodness Sherman Block dropped dead, he was a real piece of shit. No one was as big a nazi as Darrell Gates, he is responsible for the LAPD becoming the hated joke that they are.
I never really dealt with the Seriff Dept. during my time there cuz I lived in Hollywood, but during the years before the riots, Gates really turned the LAPD into an occupying force. Here in New York, I never felt afraid to approach a cop and talk to them - not so with the LAPD. They all seemed to look down at the public through their mirrored shades with utter contempt.

I wanted to post in this thread last night... angry does not even come close to my feelings at the time...
We attempted to leave the Bronx around 12:30am, and after an eternal wait for the D and an eternal wait at 59th for the A, we ended up having to watch some drunk chick vomit all over the train. We arrived at Penn to find that the track number for the 1:43 Babylon train was not posted on the board or any of the screens and there was no announcement. I ran around an finally found the train sitting on track 19 with the doors closed. It was 1:43. The train sat there for another minute, the doors stayed closed, and then the train left.
The next train was supposed to be at 2:40, to arrive at Babylon station at 3:53.
At 2:30, we wandered back over to the LIRR concourse, and still no tranck numbers were posted for any of the scheduled trains. No announcements were being made. Crowds of people were milling around, sitting on the floor and leaning drunkenly against the walls. After about 5-10 minutes of wandering, some dude yelled that he found his train, and when I asked where he was going, he replied Babylon. I yelled for him to hold the doors and we chased him down the stairs, where the Babylon train was sitting on track 16. There were people on the train and it looked to be ready to leave.
About 10 minutes after we found a nice comfortable spot, they started announcing that all train service was suspended out of Penn, and that more information would follow, as soon as it became available. After another 20 minutes or so, there was an announcement that the Babylon train was departing on track 16, and hundreds of loud, sloppy drunk college-age kids decended upon this train. They were horrifyingly young, utterly out of control and the girls were wearing the skimpiest, chintzy slutwear I have ever seen. Thankfully most of the bimbos departed at Rockville Centre and Merrick, but it was a god-awful, miserable long train ride.
I finally got to Babylon around 4:30am. What a great ending to great night! At least the Yankees won.

Reading the last few posts, I'm shocked at the fact that not only is someone was suprised there were drunk annoying kids leaving the city taking the train home on a friday night, but people care so much what Paris Hilton is doing and who Lindsey Lohan is fucking. It's crazy talk.

So at some point during my conferences this week, coming back from a 10 minute break I found my chair was gone. I turned to the table behind me and a new girl out of our NYC office who is good for nothin' was sitting sidways at that table, yapping away. She had been at another table. I asked her if she stole my chair, and she denied all. But it was her. I go to the corner of the room, grab a new chair, and carry it over.
Should have ended there, would have been forgotten. But OF COURSE my wonderful luck came into play, and we were all told to "check under your chairs for an envelope." Well, of course nothing was under my NEW chair. But an envelope WAS under my OLD chair....
....good for a brand-new Blackberry. I have never used a Blackberry, was never sold on one, but a free one would have gone a long way into changing my mind. For crying out loud, 40 people/chairs in the room, and I HAD the right chair.
But forget that. Bottom line is I was cheated out of a $400 plus phone cause someone swiped my chair.

Sounds like the shit was meant for you. I would open my mouth and say something. If your boss put it under YOUR chair. Doesn't it makes sense that they were choosing YOU.
Then you return and your chair is missing while a 'new' employee miraculously finds an extra chair. I call BS. I would call that woman on her lie. Fuck the fucking Blackberry, theres a principle. IF she didn't know the prize was there, she had no motivation to steal except that ithe chair was right there and convenient for her to use. I hate people who lie for no reason. Just say, 'oh yeah I took it while you were gone. Here ya go.' NO, why not just lie, it's easier.
OR, just shut up, wait a month or so, and swipe the blackberry, and return it one key at a time.
