HOF Broadcaster Dave Niehaus Dies
Niehaus, who called the first pitch in Seattle Mariners history and described more than three decades of occasionally good and mostly bad baseball, died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at his suburban Bellevue home, according to his family. He was 75.

That one saddened me bigtime. I was a big fan of Niehaus over the last few years, with the baseball package. When there was a handful of West Coast games and I had a hankering to watch some ball, Id pick the Mariners more often than not to catch a listen to Neihaus. I watched enough games with him doing some of the call to even like Dave Sims, who has shared booth time in the last couple of seasons.
Niehaus was one of those voices you can instantly recall in your head. He was yet another "sound of baseball."

R.I.P. former Dallas Cowboys QB and Monday Night Football announcer Don Meredith. I hope he's in heaven with Howard Cosell throwing up on his shoes all over again.
