Tyson Tomko & Giant Bernard (A-Train) beat Manabu Nakanishi & Takao Omori to capture the IWGP Tag Titles in Nagoya, Japan this weekend.
Sweet! I wish these two would team in the US. They would be my favorite tag team machine.

I thought Tomko was in TNA. I don't know what I hate more, A-Train, or the fact that you like A-Train.

Tomko is in TNA, but they have such a limited schedule a lot of the guys are in employ elsewhere. Tomko makes regular jaunts to Japan. A-Train is very underrated in the ring, in terms of big wrestlers. He can really move in there.

A-Train stinks. His matches are like women's matches. The second you see them, you hit fast forward.

When it comes to A-Train v. Bastion Booger, I know who to pick.

This is why you gotta love wrestling fans...
A note from last nights Raw taping, preshow...
The Jobber that faced Hacksaw Duggan was just booed for being in the ring. The guy did not do anything, just stood there waiting and the crowd was ready to kill him. He actually got the loudest boos of the night.

Could you imagine getting that kind of a pop for no reason? That's very funny.

So much for the push of Deuce and Domino. Not only did they lose a match during a dark match before the cameras rolled for last nights Smackdown tapings, but they lost it to the vaunted team of Henry Godwinn and his partner "Cousin Cletus." Cletus is a hillbilly protege of Godwinn, in the personage of Ray Gordy, Terry's son. Well, at least they have him working.

It is sad how they continue to quickly push new tag teams only to decide a few weeks later to pull the plug especially on Smackdown..just destroys the creibility of the tag team division and on RAW the tag team division is just a vehicle more often than not to just further singles feuds and storylines...

Well, many would argue that Deuce and Domino were never worthy of a push, and should never have been bought up to the big roster in the first place. They had many a flaw. Also, we dont know if they ticked off the wrong people backstage, and that is the reason why the push fizzled. I too am chagrined at the lack of a tag team division, especially when there are good candidates out there.

Tom I agree they didn't deserve the push but if they are going to make a decision to push a team they never follow through..This has been done several times in recent memory alone....

I'm not a wrestling fanatic, but I do remember when USA would broadcast the WWF live from the Garden in the Backlund era before Wrestlemania.
DOES anyone remember when Bob Backlund fought Don Moracco UNDER THE RING for about 20 minutes during an hour long match?? I always thought that was a riot. I bet they had some drinks and good rest down there while the Garden went ape-shit. What ever happened to Don Moracco?

Well, we're finally going to have our Mr Perfect DVD set. This little tidbit was culled off of wrestleview.com
World Wrestling Entertainment is currently in the process of many DVD projects that are set for release in 2008. These titles include a new Shawn Michaels DVD, "The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect", a Batista DVD set, a DVD dedicated to the Hell in a Cell and a SummerSlam Anthology set. A Survivor Series Anthology set is expected to be released sometime in 2009.

Here is some text from HBK's very funny "retirement speech" on Raw in early 97. Its the famous "lost my smile" speech.
"What I'm going to do is go back home and see what's left for me whether it be in this ring or out of this ring," he said. "I know over the last several months I've lost a lot of things and one of them has been my smile. I know it doesn't mean a whole lot to everybody else, but it means a lot to me. I have to go back and fix myself and take care of myself and I have to go back and I have to find my smile because somewhere along the line I lost it. I don't care if it's unpopular, if people want to make fun of me because I'm an emotional guy, but this is all I've ever wanted to do and over the last year I've got to do it. Whether you like me or not, the last year was the most wonderful year of my life. If I never get to do it again, it'll be okay because I got to live one full year being the number one guy in this business. It was the single greatest year of my life. I have you to thank (looks at Vince McMahon) and I have everybody here to thank and it means a lot to me. I'm going to go home now, okay."

According to a blurb in todays NY POSTs "Page Six" diva Ashley Massaro used to bartend at the Crazy Donkey right here in Farmingdale, New York. She is one of two ex-Crazy Donkey drink peddlars who went on to hit the cover of Playboy Mag.

I don't buy that either Ashley or Avril are really "punk" or skater girls, or whatever. I think Avril's management said "Hmmm, maybe a Skaterchic gimmick would sell albums. Be a punk" And then a few years later, Vince said "Hmmm, we need an Avril type chic. Make one of the diva contestants an Avril type chic"

One of the cool things about the "Wrestlemania Archive Series" the guys on PWTorch are doing via the audio are little tidbits of past Wrestlemanias that were not common knowledge, but have come out in the years since. So far they have done the first 5 Manias.
Anyhoo, the ONLY reason they used the carts at Mania III was cause of the highly immobile Andre the Giant. They knew the walk would have shot him all to Hell, so they had to cart him to the ring. They then figured if only Andre had to be carted in, it would be an admission of weakness, so EVERYONE had to ride a little cart. Watching some of Mania III (the updated version with new interviews and Pop-Up Video blurbs) I found out from Piper that when his time to come out came, his cart stopped working, so he ran to the ring despite Vince telling him not to.

According to a report by PWInsider, there was reportedly a confrontation between WWE Champion John Cena and TNA star Ron "The Truth" Killings this past Monday morning around 7:00am in North Carolina at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
The report states that Cena, who was heading to Canada after an appearance at the Coca-Cola 600 race on Sunday, saw Killings at the airport. Killings, who lives in Carolina and was heading to the TNA iMPACT! tapings that night in Orlando, was then approached by Cena. Cena was said to be upset after Killings made some negative comments about him during a series of TNA promos that were released through YouTube.com.
According to sources, Cena simply stared Killings down waiting for him to say something in person. Killings then reportedly returned with a stare to Cena as well, in what was described as a very tense moment. The two later went their seperate ways, with sources saying there was no physical interaction between the two at all. These are the only details that are known at this time about the reported confrontation between the two on Monday.
