Don't get me wrong--I just wouldn't have had Umaga in the same ring as Piper and Rhodes. Umaga didn't gain anything.
Simple. Gets the fans madder at him. Pours on the hate. He just beat up two legends they loved. Its Wrestling 101.
I have read in a few places that Piper/Adonis Flower Shop stuff is not on that DVD. Why not, no one can figure out.
The T/Piper boxing stuff was TERRIBLE. I would rather watch Scotty Flamingo and Johnny B Badd boxing from 92.
Piper was a heat machine. I even loved the intensity of his return in 96, WCW, to take on Hogan all over again.

I just wish there was some sort of role Piper could play in the WWE fulltime.

Not me. The bloom is off of that rose. The guy is old, and looks sloppy. He has been rambling on the mic for the last decade, his promos in WCW are universally looked upon as some of the most nonsensical ever uttered. He sort of became a parody of himself. Enjoy your old tapes, he's not worth bringing back with any regularity.

I know you're joiking, but that wouldn't work. You'd need the mentor to be someone older than Piper.

Plus Piper has already been beaten up by Umaga.
Lets get over this 'mentor' idea already.

So I watched Piper's first final WWF match against Adrian Adonis. Beefcake played an important role in that match. What I don't remember is if his barber gimmick started before or after that match.
VERY funny moment, and I never knew this before since I hadn't seen the match in years and I don't think I ever saw it in its entirety...
At the end of the match, a fan ran into the ring. Piper was celebrating, and some fan was suddenly standing next to him, and then gave Piper a hug. Piper went with it for about a second, and walks out, as the cops bum rush this fan and cuff him while Piper is exiting. Very funny shit.

I believe Beefcake became the barber after this feud, but I guess that will be addressed on the Barber Shop DVD they show in hell.
