I burned it to DVD in case there isn't an upcoming showing.

The Moment Of Truth - this is that lie detector game show.
Not worth it's own thread...this show is SO dismally staged and edited....virtually unwatchable.
I will not be on board for this crappy show.

Show got all of ONE STAR in todays paper. They said it was horrid, and uncomfortable voyeurism at its worst. I have absolutely no interest in drivel like this. Cho, I'm surprised at you, even giving it an inital gander.

Went out last night, forgot all about it. If I watch, it will be because nothing decent is on in the timeslot and it kills the hour.

That link doesn't work. As to ratings, even if they were high, lets see if it holds em. Probably wont.

I'll be sure not to watch, and keep my never having seen even a minute of that show alive.

Kellie Pickler was BRUTAL on "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" last night, and Jeff Foxworthy was pretty insulting toward her. I don't habitually watch this show, but it was good TV. I'm amazed at some of the shit people don't know.
A tailor who couldn't answer a simple True/False question because he didn't know what a reciprocal was.
But the real shocker was Pickler who at various points in the show: stated that she was always under the assumption that Europe was a country, questioned as to whether or not France was a country, proclaimed that she knew that they spoke French in Budapest, and when enlightened on the existence of a country called "Hungary" she exclaimed, "Hungry??? I've heard of TURKEY, but not Hungry!"

I have seen way too many stories citing too many sources that Pickler is "an act" that I can not take any of that seriously. Part of me thinks she is actually at home laughing at US.

I don't know why she'd be lauging at me.....because she's THAT GOOD at making me believe that she's STUPID!?!?!?!
Not something I'd be all that proud of.

Well, we're talking about her, aren't we? If she was just Kellie Pickler, former American Idol contender, would she have been on the show last night?
Would she be in half the places she has been, would her soundbites be popping up all the time on this and that station?
She carved a niche. I would not want it, but again, the fact that we are talking about her today in any respect is an accomplishment.

Well, maybe you have a point, but...
She is awfully convincing, so even if it is a gag, you know what they say about every joke... there's always a hint of truth to it.
Her songs are not doing well then, I take it?

Her songs are doing well enough that she won the support slot on such big country tours as Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley in the last year.
She's making money, and unlike some of her peers, she is not in danger of being dropped by her label.

I really like Dr. Drew's new show celebrity rehab. It has a "real" feel to it, not your typical edited for dramatics reality show vibe.

Celebrity Rehab was really good last night. Daniel Baldwin bailed on the treatment. This is such a good show because not only is it entertaining, but I'm hearing some really solid advice from this show that mirrors advice I've heard from people whose sobriety and wisdom I respect a great deal in AA.

The show, from someone who has not seen it, has train-wreck TV all over it. I dont think VH1s motives are totally pure here.
We have been taping a heap of food shows. The vacation shows where the celeb foodies visit cities and special eateries. Shows like Dinner Impossible where this dude has to go to a Ren Faire and make a 5 course meal fit for the King and his court in 7 hours using only Medieval cutlery and cooking methods, shows about chili peppers and cheese and burgers and the like.
Fun, quick, painless watches.

I agree Tom. VH-1's motives are probably anything BUT pure.
However, Dr. Drew Pinsky is someone who takes his learned craft a lot more seriously than he takes his celebrity. I don't think he would sign on for a show that compromises his credibility, and thus far on the show, he hasn't. He's promoted a legitimate course of recovery from what I can see, and so far he's actually thwarted a few potential powder kegs that could have made for great TV.

This show is getting better and better.
Last night in a group session when Dr. Drew "informed" Chyna that anabolic steroids are an addicting narcotic, she claimed that any implications that she ever took steroids are inaccurate.
Yeah, she was bigger than Triple H because she had a Billy Blanks Tae-Bo DVD?

currently season-passing "Escape To Chimp Eden." Kind of a Steve Irwin type character except his passion is chimps, not crocs.
Good show.
Tom, you might like this one.

Well, finally went and done it.....while we were away on vacation the DVR "filled up" and blocked anything pending. I was to the top. All 100 hours accounted for. Did a quick purge when I got home which included 3 hours worth of "Cold Mountain", a show on frontier mountain men that was on there for 9 months, and some other sort of hoopla. Got back down to around 90 hours, which we had been running at for a few months now.

I hate it when I'm nearing the capacity limit for my Tivo. Almost feels like driving around with an empty gas tank or on bald tires - living on borrowed time.

I knew I was in trouble before I left and I was hovering around 92 hours, and I set it to record like 10 episodes of Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels during a marathon over the weekend. Thats a nice quick watch while dinner is in the oven. But that marathon and other odds and ends sucked up the space.

Every time I have my kids, somehow over the next few days tons of Zoey 101, Hannah Montana, and Suite Life of Zack and Cody episodes appear on my Tivo.

Yo, Col. Sanders was off the hook. Many months ago BIOGRAPHY did a series of shows regarding fast food mavens, like Sanders, Kroc, Dave Thomas. I DVRd the Sanders one, cause I have always been a KFC mark (and actually had a cartoon pic of the Col. tacked in my cubicle at work for a time)
The man was badass. Nasty, always fighting. Failed in all his job ventures till he was friggin' 65. Was once in a car that fell through the bottom of a wooden bridge, 45 feet into a creek. Had a competitor deface one of his signs for a gas station/eatery he was running, and went after him with a gun, and the two traded gunshots. Sanders injured his foe, with a shot to the arm.
Hired a woman on to help he and his family run his eatery, and ended up sleeping with her. This went on for 17 years till he finally got around to divorcing his wife, while deep into his 70s. When he started franchising he could be hardass and nasty, going into places and hollering and cursing up a storm if he did not like the look of things, hitting things with his cane.
Poor soul ended up selling his share, and declined offered stock options which ultimatly cost him MILLIONS.
What a fun show this was to watch.

Bikers And Mobsters.
Good documentary on National Geographic about the ties between the Montreal mafia and the Hells Angels.
