I think that Erin pre-dated Hannah somewhat.
Research proves it - Erin born at the end of Season 2. Hannah born end of season 4.
But, I see some 90210 forums reporting that there might be a Hannah Zuckerman Vazquez / Doogie Howser type plot line.
I think they are setting Kelly up for a plot line involving a romance with the teacher/Lacrosse coach.
Brenda looks bad. All that Mall Rats money, and you think she could get her Jack Skellington grill fixed.

So Erin should then be born around late 1992, which puts her age appropriate. More research has Andrea's kid born in May 1994. That makes her 14, or an 8th grader. She's obviously gifted then with an aging disease.

Did you notice the teacher's crack about Hannah "looking about 30" doing the school newscast?
I'm loving this so far... they updated the high school kids to be a a little less goody-goody, like the current teen shows (i.e. Gossip Girl), but they kept the wholesome midwestern theme with the new main characters. They also added eye-candy for the adults and plot lines for the adults so they can really pull in the old 90210 audience....
Rob Estes has been a tasty piece of ass since his Silk Stalkings days & I'm very glad to see he has gotten a job since he got killed on CSI Miami & Women's Murder Club was cancelled.

Yeah, except Melrose is a spinoff of 90210 and he sure looks a lot like Kyle McBride of Melrose.

I maintain and will go on record as stating that I AM THE GREATEST SILK STALKINGS FAN ALIVE...and I will take on all challengers to that title!
I own the movie (pilot). Sit on THAT!! HAHAHAHA
Unlike you Laura, I DON'T like the adult plot lines for these 15 year olds. Despite today's real world stigmas, it's not realistic. And being in Southern California, I can tell you that the stereotype that TV portrays Beverly Hills as, is not at all accurate. There aren't armies of filthy rich 15 years old jet-setting around the city, state, or country while their rich, Quaalude addicted, shallow parents are off parading around unaware of their children's whereabouts. Even Jackie Taylor in the original series wasn't portrayed this stupidly.
But again, I like the show.

Wasn't Rob Estes IN Melrose Place?
I know in real life he was married to the short-haired blonde. I was NEVER a fan of that show.

Yes, as Balls pointed out earlier. I only have vague memories, as he was on towards the end and I missed a lot of the last season of Melrose due to VCR issues combined with evening classes in grad school... I owe Melrose a serious pilot-to-finale rewatch, which I shall embark upon as soon as I buy the whole series (TJ & Dana hooked me up with season 1 last Christmas.)
As for the adult plot lines, I applaud them for the ADULT CHARACTERS, i.e. Kelly hooking up with the teacher/lacrosse coach & getting more into the deal with her kid...

Estes was on the show for several seasons. IMdb lists him as on for like 90 episodes. He had a good run there.
And Linda Gray was Amanda Woodward's mom. So there are some lookalikes in this universe.
But anyway, if they are going to have original actors, they need to give them significant plotlines, not token scenes.
I think Kelly is going to be a good character though. She'll link the continuity, and one thing is clear--the writers definitely did their homework in putting this show together.

Tom, usually you would be the first to jump on this, reveling in reports of poor ratings.
Looks like the rest of the television viewing audience doesn't back you on this one.

I'm liking where they are going with this... do you think they are waiting to reveal Kelly's babby Daddy until they can convince one of the original guys to come back?
There is only one detraction... the Naomi storyline sucks. She and her junkie-theatre chick buddy should get the ax.

Obviously, Kelly's baby daddy is indeed an original cast member. I'm going with Dylan, because it would be very out of character for it to be Brandon.
The only other surprise would be Steve, since they do have a high school history too, but given that Steve was a married dad at the end of the show, that would be kind of weak.

Watch it turn out to be Colin.

I was thinking Steve with the whole "history in high school, but we didn't see each other for years..." it is pretty easy to believe that something went wrong with the marriage, since Steve was ALWAYS screwing up. Maybe his one-nighter with Kelly WAS what put the marriage on the rocks & then he stopped coming around because he went back to his family... but maybe they are waiting to see how Lipstick Jungle goes this season to see if Lindsay Price will be available to reprise her role... rumor has it, thought, Ian Zering has zero interest in a Steve Sanders reprise...
Perhaps they will dig deep and find some small connection from back in the day... is Grant Show looking for a job? Kelly had "history in high school" with Jake...

Can't be Colin... that was late college, not high school. The only other significant bit-parter that I can think of who was linked to Kelly in high school was that dick, John Sears...

Ohhhhhhhh, I totally forgot to mention this.
The new 90210 has re-piqued my interest in the original.
The other day I was watching the first season episode that featured a young Matthew Perry as a uber-rich, underachieving malcontent son of a power-success driven tyrant of a father. Perry's character had severe father issues, driving him to the point of contemplating homicide or suicide or both.
Anyway, Brandon winds up borrowing Dylan's car to rush off and save the day.
Toward the end of the show, in the halls of West Beverly, Dylan makes a crack about Brandon using up all of his gas. Brandon, while flipping the keys to Dylan, very clearly replies, "Sorry LUKE, I'll make it up to you" ... and presents Dylan with some expensive Dodgers tickets.

John Sears? The guy who boned her in the bushes at "Inspiration Point" and then spread rumors about her?
Funny you mention that - remember the HS reunion episode where Valeria helps Kelly smash a wall tile in the high school that had been graffitied with "Kelly Is A Slut?."
You tell me what high school, a Beverly Hills high school nonetheless, would have simply ignored that graffiti for all of those years without cleaning it off.

Jake wouldn't touch Kelly because she was a teenager.
John Sears was a piece of shit. There's NO WAY Kelly would bang him unless he raped her. Plus, there was no history in high school.

Wait...so John Sears was the rapist or the guy who she willingly did it with in the bushes in high school.
John Sears was college years anyway, not High School.

Jake wouldn't tough Kelly THEN, but she would consider it "some history in high school," and she was over 30 by the time the kid was conceived, so I think Jake would be OK with her age by that point...
Kelly got screwed over by John Sears is high school & they made up in college when he was Steve's fraternity brother.

Right now I'm watching the 1991 episode of Beverly Hills 90210 that firmly established David Silver as the best dancer at West Beverly.

She's annoying, so I am all for killing her off. Naomi's character got much more interesting with her stepping up to protect Adrianna, but Adrianna herself is useless.
