Anyone?
History Channel. Another strong offering. Basically these dudes who work for "The Scream Factory" which I guess is a Hollywood fabrication studio, builds up all these ancient tortue devices and other tools of the trade back then (like flaming Chinese arrow missiles) and then test them out.
Debut episode had the this zany guillitine type thing with a 150 pound blade, that the lucky victim got to lay on his back and watch come down with stunning force. Of course the Iron Maiden also made an appearance, though its "real-life" usage was rare and somewhat dubious. Oh, and dont forget the IRON BOOT, where the victim has his legs and ankles jammed together, and planks banged in between.
They also built a contraption to emulate Chinese Water Torture, and put one of their cronies through it. Fun, fun!
So what they do is set up these dummies with pig entrails and bones, and show the damage done by these things. The force of that wooden blade on a realistic dummy was gripping. The show is fun. Sunday nights, I believe. 2 episodes in the can. The one I have backed up on the DVR has a "Human Press" used during the Salem Witch Trials!

Hello....anyone?
I am stunned that this crew, of all groups of folks, is missing out on this. They just did a mini-marathon on Saturday. They showed that swinging pendulem axe. Holy crap, gruesome stuff.
The ways people came up with to torture others is wack.

OK. I will check this out. Kinda sounds a bit like Myth Busters, which I was a fan of for a time.
