Before 9/11 and after 9/11, he was also one of the best mayors in NYC history.

rudy may have had good moments as mayor, but he would be a joke of a president.

"Except for John F. Kennedy who was Catholic, all presidents have been either Protestant or Unitarian."
Thank you, Wikipedia.

The S in Harry S Truman doesn't stand for anything. Some sources mistakenly refer to his middle name as Simpson, but that is simply not true. Because S actually is his middle name, there is no period after the S in Harry S Truman.
And that pisses me off.

It wasn't a screw up. There was a typo. I'm a stickler for these things.

Here's something I can vent on: The Texas A&M/Memphis game last night. The way it ended was crap. God damn Texas A&M couldn't get a rebound after 4 Memphis misses and then the refs only put 2 seconds on the clock, when there was clearly more time than that. They just ruined my bracket. Had them losing to Florida in the finals. I've officially lost interest.

I had Texas A&M in my final four. Bastards.

Texas A&M lost the game because of the blown layup and the fact that they refused to get a rebound, but having said that, I STILL want to know where the FUCK the foul was at the end. That guy didn't get TOUCHED. If anything, the guy who took the second-to-last shot got fouled.

I went to FIVE damned stores this afternoon, seeking a fantasy baseball magazine, and I finally gave up because I had to pee. What the fuck good are all those little stationery and cigarette/candy/news stores on Deer Park Avenue, if they don't carry such literature towards the end of March??? The little place Dave told me to go to, where he got his mags last year, had quite the magazine selection... it was all porn, High Times, Weed Magazine, Tattoo mags and biker mags... and Walgreens selection was all about white brides and black men... I honestly never before have seen so many different covers depicting blonde chicks in wedding dresses, nor did I know the variety of periodicals aimed at black men: Play Essence, Black Power, Black NBA Star, Black Men's Health, Black Esquire... unfortunately no Black MLB Fantasy Rankings, although Latino ranking would probably be more useful...
I guess I will have to hit up a newsstand on the way to the draft, like I did last year.

I am glad you are taking this so seriously and planned to put ONE WHOLE NIGHT of prep into this.
Where is the surprise that the newstands are out of these magazines? They were on the shelves the first week of FEBRUARY. Anyone buying one to draft in the next week is an idiot, and cheers to the store for not restocking magazines that are mainly useful until late March.
Sancho, stop trying to reward the tardy. Let her find her own way through the muck.

Never had a problem getting a magazine the morning of the draft in the past...
...But that was when I lived in Hoboken, and I had to walk past 50 newsstands to get to the PATH train. I haven't the foggiest notion where to buy magazines near where I live now, because I haven't seen any little newsstand type places way out east of hell. You can't get shit like that at the supermarket or Walmart, and the little newsstand in the hospital lobby is too small to carry the specialty magazines.
In any case, I got my magazine and made it to the draft on time, despite technical difficulties.

LOL! From what I heard about some of the players picked during the draft, Honcho and Torso might have been just as useful as RotoWorld.com.

I am sickened by the situations with our border patrol being prosecuted and put in prison for preventing illegal alien drug smugglers from bringing their drugs and illegals into our country.
The latest horror:
Border Patrol agents sentenced to prison 11-12 years for shooting drug-smuggling suspect in buttocks as he fled across frontier
This guy was caught smuggling 800lbs. of pot and has been given immunity because he was shot in the ass while fleeing back to Mexico. Apparently the border patrol agents though he had pointed a gun at them. I'm outraged by this.
Before this it was David Sipes who was arrested and convicted of using excessive force on a illegal human trafficker. U.S. Attorney Mervyn Mosbacker Jr.'s office charged Sipes with using excessive force and causing bodily injury in the 2000 arrest of a Mexican national, Jose Guevara. Mr. Guevara received something like $80,000 for his testimony against Sipes as well as a social security card and the ability to move freely between the US and Mexico. During the court proceedings Mr. Guevara was apprehended AGAIN for trafficking illegals across the border. Meanwhile David Sipes life was destroyed.
I am outraged!

The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services can eat shit and die.
Prelude: I moved to Connecticut from Pennsylvania in July of 1999. When completing my civic duty and submitting my tax returns, I had income I had earned for half of the year in Pennsylvania and half of the year in Connecticut. I completed a return for Pennsylvania for the amount I earned there and a return for Connecticut for the amount I earned in Connecticut.
I promptly received an audit notice from Connecticut for under reporting my income. I explained that I didn't earn all of my income in Connecticut, but according to their tax laws, it made no difference and I ended up getting taxed on my Pennsylvania earnings twice.
Fast Forward to a week ago.
I get an audit notice from the Connecticut DRS telling me that I paid no state income tax for the year 2003, and that with interest and penalties, I owe them over four grand. I promptly went to my archives and produced the archival copy of my tax return for that year (that I dutifully submitted to the DRS before April 15th of 2004), with copies of my W-2's, indicating that I did indeed pay my taxes (in fact I owed $102.00 and sent them a check for that amount back in 2004).
I sent them a registered letter, along with facsimiles of all of my documentation, indicating that they fucked up.
I am so fucking pissed with these assholes.

you should have filed an amended PA return. In NJ, the money we paid to NY when my wife worked there was deducted from what we owed NJ.

Half an hour into my pickup hockey game, came together with a friend along the boards behind the net and slammed my shoulder into the boards. At first I thought nothing of it, but after I took a backhander in front net, I couldn't put anything behind the shot and felt a pull on the back of my shoulder. Now there's a pain all around my shoulder, under my armpit down to the halfway point of my ribs. I'm fucking pissed.

lol, it was a normal play, I won't pull a DiPi and play hurt. I will however encourage my mates from the bench. This shit really hurts though, I'm typing with my left hand leaning foward to drink a rum and coke through a straw cause I can't do beer curls. Then I have to listen to some douche on Ron and Fez bad mouth Rick Rude. I'm fucking livid.
