Just watched the debut episode on HBO tonight. As a football fan I liked it, as a Cowboy fan I loved it. Taking my fandom out, it was really entertaining, and a lot of cool moments. My only complaint was this clip they showed of TO jogging in slow motion on the beach. But it was qucik so whatever.
As for TO, don't ever want to hear he's slacking. Since day one he's been busting his ass. Every day he goes one on one with Pac Man in reps. TO's getting the better of him, but the one upsmanship is awesome and they showed some really sick plays for both guys, really sick plays.
Sickest play though this episode goes to Marion "The Barbarian" Barber. Some guy trying to make the team, only identified as "Number 58", goes lit up when Marion blocked him on a play. Shoulder to the chest, just trucked him, he went down qucik too. Barely even fazed Barber, they slow motioned it and it was even better slowed down on TIVO. Everyone watching was just cheering like mad, with someone off camera explaining it best by saying, "Oh Shit".
Michael Irving told Jason Garrett down think about leaving town again. I agree.
The rookie hazings were good too. Felix Jones got a bucket full of water poured on him by Pac Man. But the best was at team meetings. All the rookies were giving a microphone taped to a banana and two plums, they had to say their name, college and signing bonus then sing a song on the spot. Pretty funny stuff, one guy's signing bonus was a foot long from Subway. Gotta love Jerry.
Overall, Romo looks great, TO lookd great, as does Witten(what else is new), Marion and Roy Williams(though I'm pissed he switched to 38). He looked really good when working on pass coverage, he's maming it a priority this camp and I am very pleased. Though you can't complain about a guy with 100 tackles. Really good watch, and the Boys just look great. Can't wait to get my new 2008 gear and for next weeks episode.
