But wait a minute--why should someone who works in sports, and in the NFL, need prep for something like that? Ok, I can sort of understand the concept of a 49er legendary coach offering support to the new 49er coach, even if the mentor thing was wrong. You can misspeak.
But to not know that one of the greatest coaches in football history is DEAD?
That's like asking Joe Girardi how it felt to get a call from Casey Stengel.
I am not a major football fan like many of you are. I root for one team. Won't switch no matter what, but not on the same diehard level as with the Yanks.
But I know that Bill Walsh is dead. And I don't work in the NFL.

Her Danyell Sargent and she used to work for ESPN, so knowing Walsh is dead should be common knowledge to her.
