Hey, good for you two. Solid shot there, too. Cheers. We are spending like our 5th or 6th together as a couple at home on New Years. Emma, for the first time - as of now - is making it 3. But I think we are putting her down soon. She is being a pain in the ass.
We enjoy staying home. Eating snacks, I am sipping my drinks, we are set to laugh at the crap the networks throw on to ring the New Year in. Its a nice relaxing time, and you really appreciate it the next morning too.
Cheers, enjoy your night, and Happy New Year to you and your wife AJ, and all others who read this, whenever you do.

Just chilling at home watching Raw. Could have gone to Jersey, but that would require going to Jersey. Happy New Year to all.

DVRing Raw, to watch in leisurely fashion tomorrow so Emma can see. Oddly enough, the show is almost over, going by the clock, and Emma is still up with us. I was watching a couple of Honeymooners episodes on DVD, as that is long a New Years tradition. I noticed flipping on the TV Guide channel that the Honeymooners marathon is running as I type on 11.
We just saw that relic Freddy Sez on the street during the New Years hoopla. Cuban Monica texted me from Times Square, I am stunned that she is not only there, but is a repeat offender - why someone would go there one time and want to go back is well beyond me. It sucks.

Happy fucking New Years my favorite douchebags.
My night was first spent at the Norfolk Theater in Westburry seeing lil Jimmy Norton. All new material from the Virus Tour and his HBO special, fucking fantastic. Speaking of his HBO special, I bought the DVD since he was whoring out merch, the perk: him and the boys, Op and Ant were there(who also got thrown under the bus a few times)signing said merch. So I got the DVD signed, chatted a bit with the fellas then spent the rest of the night, which was less funny then the earlier part of the night, with some close friends at the typical house party. Luckily, the funny picked up when I got home when I threw on the Honeymooners marathon(an intended buy next time I go to best buy for a dvd collection). As I type this, some urban kids are arguing in the street, I fully expect a stabbing to occur. I'm going to bed soon and waking up at 9 to watch some more Honeymooners and make some breakfast. I hope you all didn't get drunk enough to run over an autistic kid, crash into a tree and paralyze yourself enough to enjoy MSBs favorite drunken rambler. Happy New Year and God Speed.

Top notch drunken post. Check out James, out in Westbury, and he does not even stop over to share our crab rangoons and my Glenlivet, aged 15 years.
Hop on that Honeymooners. I got in 2 episodes yesterday, but I dont have a sense of urgency as I own the collection. Seven shades of fantastic.
NHL Winter Classic coming up in a couple of hours. I actually sat through the entire two and a half hour preview show yesterday and enjoyed most if not all. Well, James, you are one of the guys I worry about when the year closes and dawns again, I am glad you made it home, you little scamp.

Just curious how many people have actually done the Times Square thing. People tend to stand around for upwards of 10 hours. The constant question is what happens when you have to go to the bathroom? I've heard people talking about wearing a diaper. Ok, that could probably take care of the pee. But what about if you shit? It's not like a diaper would magically move the shit out of your pants. And I would think outdoors or not, you would smell badly.
If you go to Times Square, you will shit your pants.

Cuban Monica is a regular. In fact, she texted me from the place. I got dragged down there once in my life, but its more a funny story than anything. I was not forced "into a pen" which is now the going rage. You can NOT leave the pen, once you are in it. If you get there at 8AM, and want to see the ball drop, you stay there till after the ball drops. Once you leave your pen, you lose your spot.
Its beyond stupid. It finally hit me this year, watching on the tube. They spent 80% of the TV time cutting to these idiots in the pens, instead of showing the musical guests. I hate just about all the musicians they drag out for these things, but I would prefer them than the same yokels from out of town showing off cause they held it in for 15 hours.

As usual, I watched from home. Or, should I say, my brother in law's in Rutherford. Carrie Underwood turned in a great set. As far as the rest of the performers, I ignored them. I always wanted to see the ball drop in person, but I figure that 12 hours in the cold is about 11 hours and 45 minutes too long.
Hey, ajfreakz...where did you get married?

This year we loosely considered letting Emma stay up. We pretty much were, without telling her anything, dictate her own schedule. Getting on 11PM, she was starting to become quite the annoyance. Knowing she would put up a minor stink if I just up and put her to bed, I tricked her.
When 11PM came in, and ABC was switching to the news, they ran credits right after Ryan Seacrest exchanged pleasantries with Underwood. Whem Emma sees credits, she recognizes "Show Over." She was, however, a bit confused, as she was thinking Underwood would be singing, and was sort of waiting for it. But we told her that she was just there "to say hi" and that was good enough for Emma. Off to bed she went.

T, way to make Emma go to bed! Brianna and Tonie got to stay up and toast everyone with champagne (Sprite) in little stemmed cordial glasses!

And I am sure they are a joy all day January 1st. Nah, not our bag. Emma could hardly stand by the time she staggered down the hall to bed, you would think she had been drinking my whiskey. She could care less about the fanfaronade, she just wanted to see Kelly Clarkson sing. I dont need to keep a 4 year old up to watch a ball drop, although we sort of conceded and let her dictate what she wanted to do this year.
