Here's a letter I just emailed to Dan Hansbury the yankees ticket representative:
Mr. Hansbury,
I am livid. I am so furious. I am restraining myself from using all manor of descriptive profanity in this email to express my extreme disappointment and anger to the Yankees and Yankee ticketing office. TWO days ago I got a letter telling me that I'd be able to buy my cubs exhibition tickets today. Yesterday and this morning I got emails telling me the same. First of all, thanks for the short notice, you really could have let us know more in advance. Second, what good was telling us, if MY SEAT WASNT GUARANTEED? Seriously, you guys have problems. NOWHERE on my letter or emails does it say that the 41-plan people must get lucky and be purchasing at 10:00 and have under 30 seconds before it sells out. It says that I have all day. It says that at ANYTIME between 10am and 10pm, I can go online and get my seats. Well, I WAS online at 10:03, and no, so sorry, they were gone. I didnt even understand that they were sold out until 40 minutes later when after serious frustrtation from numerous attempts, I still was unable to retreive what I believed to be assuredly mine. I called the ticket office and the guy walked me through the whole process like I was an idiot. I humored him b/c maybe I really just didnt do it right, but no, after the same result, he puts me on hold and comes back saying they were all gone. WHAT???
"Only the 81 game plan had guaranteed seats"
WHAT?
WHAT THE HELL??
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE RESPECT AND APPRECIATION GEORGE/HANK/HAL!
Dan...
Mr. Hansbury,
Really. Its a nice slap in the face to some pretty loyal fans. How could you not see your way to guaranteeing seats for the 41-plan people, and more importantly, how could you not even TELL us we were screwed from the start? This is not a good way to start fan relations in the new Stadium when you are touting that "our fans will help us write the next chapter in the Yankees' history".
Chapter 1: prologue
Yankees piss off the same loyal fans they want support from. Season opens on bad footing.
Sincerely,
one very disgruntled creature!
