Ok this is a little off topic ...but I guess as good a thread as any ...But in the last year I met 2 "bleacher creatures" that I never heard of..... outside of the stadium.....One was in Dominican Republic at a wedding...basically the dj was dropping the ball MC'ing (didn't speak english) a one of the guests picked up the mic and took control...he did a pretty good job and then he started singing bleacher songs basically just YMCY and I don't remember if there were any others but but it was later told to me that he was a creature. I never really got to talk to him or if I did I don't remember ..It was all inclusive alcohol..Im not sure if there was any food...His name is Aaron and he comes with his brother all the time ..Ooh and he has a bleacher Creature t-shirt (thats what they told me)
the second one was coincidentally at a bachelor party ... I was checking he scores for the game and he said he was supposed to be at the game ..basically saying he was a creature in sect 39 .....after a quick chat he later recanted and said he was a season tix holder in Sect 39 and knows alot of ppl... Very nice guy looks exactly like Conan O'brien
any one know them ...Just curious ..its a small world..

The first encounter I had with a creature was Gang Bang Steve in 2000. The Yankees were getting destroyed by the Red Sox and a group of latinos wearing a PR flag or some country going apeshit over Pedro chanting and yelling how great the sox were. At about the 8th inning, most people in 39 had left and the game all but over and the Boston fans going non stop I jumped up on the bench and starting yelling anything I could think of, Fenway Faggots to 1918, all the works. G Bang comes over, throws my 97 pound body soaking wet up on his shoulders and we start berating the Red Sox fans. Police have to come over and break it up, but still fun nontheless.
First guy I met, well actually two, was Tom and Midget Mike in 2001. It was my birthday and I was sitting in 37 no more than 5 feet from where Milton rings the bell. Between innings Tom completely hammered stumbles over and starts up conversation. I mention to him it was my b day and he said it was also Midget Mikes and that's my story. Then came the adventures of helping Tom get to the bathroom.I remember one time going back to the seats Tom getting serenated with Michael Jackson chants. I know, less exciting then yelling at Boston losers.

Alcohol seems to be a common link in this thread.

Oh, alcohol.
That reminds me of Vinny. I knew who he was for a while, but we didn't become friendly until I spilled all my drinks on him at Game 7 of the 2001 World Series while at Jeremy's.

Talk about spilling beer ....One year at jeremys ..it may have been for Toms B-day or somethi ng like that...well ..I was sitting with his friend Ian ...alot of you probably know him.....well we were just chatting and his girlfriend came over and started arguing with him. So he pretty much said not now im busy ....at that she took a full quart of beer and threw it at him ...unfortunately for me her aim wasn't that good and he must of been expecting it because ..here i am sitting back ing my chair chilling ..and she pretty much got me with the whole quart... Ian then trew a beer her and I followed with a chair to her back ...man that sucked..

How about that time at Jeremy's when I was like 8 months pregnant (Christmas Party 2002) and 3 people spilled beer on me in a matter of ten minutes?
One was Vinny, one was Vinny's friend (Jimmy???) and I don't recall who the third one was but it may very well have been Vinny again.

the First People i met In the bleachers were Eve And Chico in 1995. I'd get to the stadium real early, like 9 AM to get first crack at seats. I'd be waiting at the window when i see a bunch of people at the gate, Eve, Chico, and few others were getting their hole punched tickets. I pretty much sat with them most of the season in the first row of 37. Good Times

The thing about me and the bleachers is that I started going in 2001 on my own. I was about 15 and really your not going to see 15 year old guys try to fit in with guys that are older than him even though I wish I would have gotten to know a few people. I use to see familiar people all the time and funny enough I got to know their names from seeing various pictures on the other board. I think I got tickets twice from Larry meeting him outside the Garden and got a pair of tickets from Vinny when the Yanks were playing the Mets at Shea last year I believe. lol I actually did talk to Tom once at Shea ( Which Im sure he will not remember at all.) when he was asking around for directions to get back on the BQE or Grand Central forgot which highway so I tried to help him out with the directions.
Now its harder to get to games because of the hectic schedule of college but I did manage to go to a few games in the summer.

Alcohol seems to be a common link in this thread. Hell yeah!! It was the $5 special and an empty bar stool at the Rock Ridge Saloon in 1994 that kicked things off between Tom and me. Gee...I really should get my liver checked.

I wonder if that was the night that I was on the phone with Capone until about three in the morning trying to get those two home because they kept going around in circles. Honestly, it only takes a half hour tops to get from Shea to my house and it took those two about four hours.

You still have a LIVER? YOU SELFISH WENCH! This should really go into the useless facts section but 1) the liver regenerates itself and 2) you can donate a portion of your liver to somebody that needs it.

The first person I met from section 39 was Domi, but that's not as interesting a story. Met him at B-sides and he and I were wasted and immediately liked each other.
The next group of people I met from section 39 (aside from Vinny, duh) were G-bang, Brian and Uptown Mike (oh and Lana who was Brian's coworker at the time). Vin invited me to go to a Paul Mooney show at Caroline's with all of them. There was some anxiety, but it turned out that it was pretty easy to ingratiate myself with this crew. Brian accidentally called me Rosa and I turned to him and said, "My name is Rose, not Rosa - I'm Italian, not Puerto Rican." I didn't think it was that clever, but Brian and Uptown started hysterically laughing and when it was repeated to G-bang, he also had a laugh. And that was it...
Brian, still to this day, calls me "Rose, not Rosa" and still laughs hysterically when he says it. He's a goof.

I remember going to my first game with George. It was the first inter-league game against the Mets. That is where I met Teena. We hit it off because I was the only girl sitting in the bleachers with all these guys. The game was new because I never saw a real live game. From that day on, I sat in the Bleachers and met everyone. Not sure how, but I would not change the days I went to the game even though I complained when it rained. I remember doing All Star Ballots with Teena and our write vote got one of the Yankees in the Game. Also, when Tom, Milton, George and I went to Baltimore and was yelling at BJ Siroff (sp) and his mother was sitting right next to us. And on the radio you hear the announcers say Please do not sell any tickets to Yankees Fan Well next day we got tickets. Or the time George, Milton and I went on the West Coast trip. That was awesome. That is where we hooked up with Strawberry agent and he took us down to the locker room and I met Jim Leyrtiz for the first time and almost had a heart attack. There are so many good memories I will always cherish.

I met Saudia when I was climbing down the bleachers and accidently bumped her in the back of the head. She was SOOOO pissed off. I said I was sorry and made sure she was ok. She was not happy and was like that bitch needs to sit down..... A few weeks later I was with Kwik, Phil and Ray at Down the Hatch....Saudia showed up. We did blowjob shots and became friends after that.... I think she is still pissed I hit her in the back of the head.
