Your 2009-10 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats open their season on November 20. Will there be another trip to the Final Four? Let's hope so.

Your 2009-10 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats lost a close one at Lebanon Valley last week, but came back strong against the #12th ranked St. Mary's squad yesterday. The Dips' record stands at 4-1, and they are ranked #10 in the country in a poll that came out before last night's big win. Next up for the Dips is Ursinus, a very difficult opponent that is going to look to come into Mayser Center and make a statement.

Cousins is a beast. But as far as Reddick, fuck anyone who ever played for Duke.

In what was a very exciting game at Mayser Center, your Franklin & Marshall Diplomats defeated the Ursinus Bears, 78-74. The win propels the 10th ranked Dips to 5-1, (1-0 in the Centennial Conference).
I will say this--the close score makes me very concerned about the rematch at Ursinus on February 3. Hopefully by then, they'll be a strong road team.
Next up for the Dips is McDaniel, another tough team. The game is on the road, and last year, they lost there. The 2 teams split the season series last year. Hopefully this time around, F&M will find a way to sweep.
That game takes place Saturday.

Why F&M is playing in Maryland instead of NJ this weekend.

It was a miracle. Like the announcer said, there's no skill involved. Just reaching and getting lucky. The team that lost was the #7 team in the country. Had they won, and they should have since that was a significant upset, they likely would have won the next day, and would have hosted the Sweet 16. In D3, the Sweet 16 is not at a neutral location.
But since they lost, the games are now at St. Mary's. Kind of sucks for F&M because we have to play St. Mary's in their own gym, which is in buttfuck MD, and way too far for me to get to. I would classify us as underdogs, though we did play this same team and beat them earlier this year at home.
I would have considered a Saturday trip to the game after the draft (should we make the Elite 8), but given that it's a 300 mile drive, and the game would start at 7pm, and the draft starts at 1pm, it won't happen.

Move the draft to 8 a.m. No one would complain.
