Me, the wife, and some Dodger fans (another couple) are headed to the Villa Nova shindig in Newport Beach:

Happy New Year, Chris, and to everyone else who sees this.
Dana and I will once again be happily spending it at home. Weve grown to look forward to it. We put on the countdown shows with a sarcastic eye, laughing at things, having fun with it. We make pigs in a blanket and wings, I drink some good booze. We just have a relaxing evening. Emma has scared us with an unprovoked remark of "I think this is the year I will stay up till midnight." Um, I was not looking forward to that part of it.
Tomorrow during the day is going to suck for me....end of month at work, so who knows when my "weekend" will actually start.

Just realized I have a use-it-or-lose-it floating holiday that must be used by end of year. Guess tomorrow is it.

Happy New Year to all.
Lindsay and I just stay in and cook a nice meal. Usually it is lobster but this year we are doing crab legs I think as they are on sale at Stew Leonards. Probably a little baked potato and certainly champagne. Although 5-1 odds against us making it to midnight. The human alarm clocks will be going off at 6 am no matter that it is New Years Day.

Actually it does suck to be me.
Floating Holidays here are, as mentioned, use-it-or-lose-it.
Just found out I have TWO floating holidays, and only one day left in the year. I'm losing 8 hours of free time due to my inattention.

As of now, no real plans, but I just got back. I'm just psyched that a half hour before I got through the door, my new computer was delivered. Good timing. Setting it up now.

We are attending an outdoor party in another neighborhood. We did it last year, it was casual and we all had a great time.... plenty of beers and food, perhaps a fine stick to be smoked....
