No person who has been relegated has ever won the league. The closest would be Jose, who finished in the cellar before relegation. Of course, now that relegation is gone, the fraternity of losers is closed.

Listen, this is a celebration.
Join the party or go hang with Larry & Tom the other losers.
Congrats to me, again.

I guess at some point before the draft, I'm going to have to look up your personal history. Justin currently holds the consecutive "failure to win a session" streak, at coincidentally, 56 straight sessions. But if I'm not mistaken, you're up there, and your return does continue the clock.

Going backwards:
Grover was last in the league in 2006. He did not win a session.
13.
In 2005, Grover did not win a session.
26.
2004 came and went without a session win for Grover.
39.
Grover wasn't in the league in 2003, but in 2002, the streak began when Grover won his only session, Session 5.
So Grover enters the season with a 47 session losing streak.
IF Grover does not win a session by Session 10, Justin's unbreakable record, will be broken.

Justin's unbreakable record, will be broken. A two time champ. Nothing to be ashamed of. Once you enter the upper echelon you near the records of the top contenders. That's just how it goes. Ok, BRB!

Justin is sort of like the Cubs. He won a couple of titles in the infancy of the league, but then had a long stretch of futility. Also like the Cubs, he had a return to contention but still hasn't quite fulfilled that championship goal.
I wish him well on his future endeavors.
Good luck to you too Grover, as you attempt your shot at one of the worst records that we keep track of. 10 to go.

I look at him more like Brett Favre and his record number of INTs. Sure breaking that record isn't something someone wants, but suck QBs don't last long enough to break it, and if you do near it you near the type of player Favre is, who is a HOF QB. Tom, Larry and Milton Losers don't near records from the greats. In other words, Breaking that record means I'm one of the best players in the League. BRB, celebration is still going, I got ladies to entertain.

There's a difference though. You're right that shitty QBs don't last long enough to break the record for most INTs. Just like no one will ever break Cy Young's record for losses. However, merit plays little role in this league. You don't have to be good to stick around. You just have to not finish in last place, and even THAT rule is now gone. It's kind of like Milton's return automatically making him the biggest loser in league history. While I won't give out numbers until draft day, it's not a badge of honor The consecutive session loss streak is actually a tough record, especially with Justin setting the bar so high. Think about this. To get to 56 straight losses, you have to not win a penny for 4 full years and 4 sessions. That's a shitload of futility. It's so bad you have to tip the hat. Justin should be especially proud because in spite of that record, he has 2 first place finishes and a second place finish. I believe he is the highest grossing winner in the league, but I'd have to double check if Larry's win last year topped him. It's a shame that we have to wait most of the season before you potentially hit 57. But if you win a session, I'd have to look up who is the next threat. Too bad we can't get Steve or Kwik back. Both have 39 session streaks and lifetime winnings of $0.00. You at least have that ONE session victory.

Maybe if you win, and my team wins the Ali Ramirez Cup in 2010, I'll drink a shot out of the cup.

I blame Pittsburgh for me losing my focus. Both living there and preparing to leave there.
When settled in New York, and now in Chicago, I am, quite simply, great. Despite spending many summer Sundays at Wrigley Field.

Those were Justin's projections. Mine were:
Jose--7398 John--7310 Tom--7301 Laura--7221 Justin--7079 Grover--7043 Pops--7070 Nettles--6891 Milton--6850 Knoblauch--6810 Larry--6794 Evan--6613
If you look at my prediction on Jose, I said he had a great starting lineup, but a terrible bench. I should have factored the in season manager skills for Jose a little more. I only started doing that this year with Larry getting a 150 point bump because he's Larry and Knoblauch losing some points just because he's Knoblauch.
I'm looking forward to seeing how player projections went.

Who cares!!
I started this thread back in February and backed it up with the title. This is the most epic thing in the history of this shit board, and I am the greatest thing that happened to your league.
League without Milton, JW and Me: Boring League with Milton, JW and Me: I win and it's interesting.
Get my check ready. I want it wrapped around a Cuban cigar and delivered to me by a stripper.

Eh--it was kind of boring either way. Get the Cuban cigar and stripper, and it will be done. Or at least get the Cuban cigar. The stripper would have to come out of the winnings I'm happy that I placed 4 out of 12 people in their right order of finish and got 2 out of 3 in the money.

Congratulations to the three money-winners. Getting bounced out of the money on the last day of the season fucking sucks.

It doesn't match the biggest choke of all time when Justin kicked Tom in the balls last year.
