he was one mean canuck,never saw him in the ring but i remember from the wrestling mags that he was a mean SOB

Google is your friend He was NWA champ (when it meant something) for 4 years in the late 60's. He won the title from Lou Thesz (another wrestler you probably don't know) and lost it to Dory Funk Jr. Played in the CFL, could move well for a large man. He gave up the NWA title because of all the political BS that went with being the champ.

RIP to one of the true legends..never saw him wrestle but did see some of his ref work. All above are accurate accounts from all I have seen, read or heard...
