You're right, forgot about Pops but he had a 104 point night Friday night which was just enough.

Holy cow! 2010 session 4 will be remembered as the one where the league collectively stood up in one voice and said, "fuck you Grover, you ain't winning shit."
Grover led the whole session--and with 2 days to go, John was in LAST PLACE. Pops and Justin were down 60 points. Grover had Johan Santana go and he threw 8 shutout innings.
But he STILL didn't get the win.
John came within 3 points of pulling off the greatest comeback in league history. But it was Pops on the strength of a 104 point night that edged out John and Justin. Congratulations to Pops and Grover's streak is now at 51 straight sessions without a win. Wow.

See, told you. You guys were calling me a lock halfway though on one good night.
Even without the two of the three great nights that I said would happen (and Balls said were unlikely), and if John doesn't pull off a burner, I still lose. I had a small lead on Nettles, and he would have beat me. My bats shot it's load early in the week, and the pitching match ups weren't good going into the last week.

That had to be the most exciting last 2 nights ever.

It was, and as much as I hate losing the session, I'm having a lot of fun this year watching the shuffling in the standings.

It's easier for me that Pops won, but I kind of wish John did just because of that near miracle.

Balls, did you count Pops' extra 12 points that were restored today due to the suspended game? If you did not, then John did not come within 3 points of pulling off the comeback. It's academic from a financial standpoint, but Pops actually won the session by about 15 points if you didn't already count the extra 12 for Burnett's win.
This is not a huge deal right now, but it could have been if one of us had scored a few more points. I'm concerned about the lack of attention to detail here. I believe Pops had 600 points on the session.

You're right about that. But I spoke with Tom on this subject and the points are going toward session 5. It's similar to you can't put someone on the DL until you see the DL, even if there is a delay between real life and Yahoo. Though this was a rare Yahoo glitch, this is how it would be ruled. Fortunately, the session wasn't decided on this issue.

Wait, what? That makes no sense.

WHOA WHOA WHOA
It's not similar to the DL at all! Yahoo made it very clear on the league home page that it would be corrected on Monday to reflect what happened that night! It's not a glitch at all!
Those points were not scored during Session 5. The points were scored during Session 4. The points are reflected correctly on Tuesday, May 25. How the hell can they count toward this session?
Why the hell can't we do anything normal around here?
You mean to tell me that Pops would have lost the session if John had 3 more points???
This may not have an impact, but we won't know for two weeks. It may not be likely, but anything can happen.
We have a great opportunity here to do the right thing in a situation where it likely wouldn't have any impact this time around but could really prevent future problems.
I could see if the suspended game was completed in a later session, but it was completed the next night during the same session.
Logic loses out yet again.
And while we're at it, when were you two planning on announcing this to the 11 people whose wallets this may affect?

Actually, it's not like the DL thing at all because the DL issue is in the hands of Yahoo, but the session points are in the hands of the League.

How did the Solons steal season 4 from GROVER ? How did Grover lose ? Was it the course of the Great Gazoo A,K,A, Ball's
"Both of you have 2 starters going in the next 2 days. I would expect Grover to gain ground on you tonight because of Santana. Grover has a terrible hitting night with a blown save. You are really the only one with a chance of catching him, and the odds of him having 3 bad days in a row are small. You aren't overwhelming him with extra starting pitching, so it seems unlikely you'll catch him." I only had 1 good night 104 pt's I think ? I thought Grover had it , or who ever had Halladay with his perfect game !!! The Solons Have woken up and moved out of the caller. Look out next stop sevth place & Sheriff Tom.
