I was hoping ti was him driving the limo, and I tricked myself into thinking it was him. On top of that, how is someone getting chocked with a tie more violent than what they did to Hart at the end of RAW? Yeah, I understand the 'kids can do it' angle but come on.

speaking as someone who hasnt watched any WWE in a year or more......when I read about this "Invasion" I set up Raw to TiVo last night. but since they fired the guy who is apparently the best of the bunch, i doubt I'll bother watching

Wade Barrett as the leader of that faction is pretty damn good in the role.
Very dissapointed in the follow-up. They had a menacing situation, and turned it into another WWE soap opera. Hopefully they can salvage it.
Ill know more on the Danielson thing later, got 2 new newsletters today. He IS fired. Thats fact, he is already seeking Indy dates and TNA has called (but he's in a 90 day no-compete) - while the tie is part of the reason, he had been warned about a few other things and ticked off some of the wrong people along the line.
This said, Im upset about it, and the angle is missing something without him in it. Writing him out was lame. But it is what it is.

What sucks about it is if they DO bring him back, I hope it's not as a face to go against them. He was growing on me as a heel with a bit of facial hair.

They did set it up that way, for him to come back as a face.
From what I got out of things yesterday, YES, he is fired. Thats fact.
Apparently he was told he would be bought back at some point. For now, he is able to take any bookings he wants, outside of TNA. He is in a 90 day non-compete. Some believe WWE would bring him back shortly before the 90 days. Others are not sure.
The thing reeks, Im upset about it, but it is what it is. Vince apparently handled the firing. And yeah, it seems it came from pressure from outside sources. This said, it was not just the "tie thing." He had been warned about saying certain things on the mic, and other conduct issues. Also, some believe he "went into business for himself" too often, including the beatdown, especially when he spit in Cena's face.

I don't buy business for himself, i can see someone being in the moment thinking something would be a good idea only for the other guy to be upset. Don't forget everyone in wrestling has egos and everyone wants to look good even when they get the shit beat out of them. I could see him doing something someone didn't like cause they thought it made him look bad, so the scapegoat is the rookies. But i don't condemn a person cause maybe they just got caught up in the moment.
I still say work and predict he comes back after the 90 days. If it was legit, Cena would not mention it on Twitter. You can't comment on someone who's fired. They even have him on a Sirius show today where they promised to talk about Bryan. It's a fucking work. I'm not saying the guy didn't get a warning for Jesus Christ and whatnot, but people within the company, I.E. the fucking WWE champ, would "petition" to bring a fired guy back.
I'm going to the PPV Sunday, I look forward to seeing what they do with the contact situation.

I dont necessarily think its a work, as it benefits no one. To be blunt, Danielson is not big enough a deal to keep everyone but the internet community hanging on it. And the bad-will WWE generated with that aspect of the audience over this may not be worth it, if the plan is to bring him back.
As to your point regarding Cena talking about it....he also talked about his regret at Carlito getting fired, on that same Twitter. So that kind of blows that out of the box. While Cena is a company-man, im sure anything he posts (if it even is him posting it) about a situation such as this would not rile up the corporate machine so much. Word is Cena is a stand-up guy, and he has a right to make an opinion now and again, with his standing.

I really am bummed this guy got fired, because he was a great part of the angle. Barrett is good as the leader, and that's fine, but I wouldn't be shocked if Bryan broke out as a star.
They need new stars.
I also don't like the idea of Bryan brought back as a face either.
Of course, he could be brought back as a heel, who basically gets the NXT faction to turn on Barrett as well. But either way, you burn a good heel.
I actually found the Bret Hart thing funny. I'm glad they are making him take a bump without making him take a bump.

LOL at putting a guy in a stretch limo and ramming it into small cars..........I also liked how Bret fixed his hair out of his face when he was supposed to be out of it at the end.......
Not happy about Bryan though I do like Barrett as the ring leader he has a chance to be a big star as well...........I have a feeling he may be back after a couple months so whoever was upset about what he did dies down.......Letting him go to TNA would be a mistake (from a WWE standpoint) though I think he could be better there...
Angle is still OK to me and looking forward to see where they bring it next...

All makes for good fun, but Im sure the driver was never supposed to be seen. It was obviously a stunt guy, or someone good with cracking cars. At some point they should reveal the driver (probably Jericho at this point, who was not on the ramp, of course) but I find that blah. As much a Jericho fan I am.
Hey, who knows, they may never reveal the driver. Did they ever reveal the guy who hit Abyss?
Maybe Rikishi did it. He has experience at this sort of thing.
LOL @ - and this was obviously not shown on tv, the WWE roster standing calmly watching it all unfold from their perch on the ramp, on the tron. And doing nothing to stop it.

Bret is the dummy, he makes the whole roster wait on the stage and he goes into the back? It was stupid on all levels.
And reading some of the websites, a lot of people think it's a work in the sense he'll be back after the non compete clause. But others also believe he was a scapegoat. But either way, with Cena's comments on the radio show the other day, yeah he has the stroke to voice is opinion being a stand up company man, but he is trying to get everyone on the same boat as him. He said if people want Danielson back they should put forth a body of work, a collective effort into bringing him back. If you think people aren't going to do it, you're crazy, And my thinking is, they have this beinh hyped and talked about for 90 days, it is going to get the people backing Cena white hot to see Danielson come back. They have him waiting in the wings for the big Ta- Da after they're done working everyone.
It's Vince or creative trying to out smart and one up the smart marks. Shit in their face and make them think they're losing their guy just to bring him back. They're working the internet guys, if you think the choking wasn't planned and the camera guy didn't know to get the shot of him choiking out Justin Roberts you don't get how wrestling shows are ran. They planned the spot and some director in the headsets said go to camera so and so and that was the shot. It was planned. But they get all this other shit going on to make you think and second guess everything including your own opinion. It's a long con, sleight of hand. Sorry but it takes someone really fucking good to con me and WWE cannot con me anymore. I might be wrong about some things, and some plans might change last minute, but they don't fool me for one second when it comes to filming a tv show.

so I watched raw for the first time since Bret Hart's January return, just to see what this Invasion angle was all about. It seems obvious to me that Micheal Cole will be the "Anonymous GM" & the NXT leader. Maybe too obvious. Also, LOL at the wrestlers being too afraid of a suspension that they wouldn't help out the Old Timers, or even se it coming a mile away and surround the ring. It made them look like pussies.

Michael Cole as the GM would rock. It would be an expected but unexpected turn. It would be weird seeing him get a push, but funny, and the entertainment value would be awesome.
Another interesting choice would be Danny Bryan of all people, but that's a longshot. Tom threw out the name HHH, but I really hope that's not the case.

Well, while Cole would be good fun, it would not be a surprise to avid viewers of the show. Both the Torch and the Observer did polls on their site on who fans thought it would be, and Cole won both OVERWHELMINGLY. No one else was even close.
Most insiders feel it will be HHH. Im not happy with that but it probably is what it is. While this would be a good way to bring Danielson back, it would mean little to the bulk of people watching, so it wont happen.
Oh, and in big news, Barrett has, for now, been deported. Along with McIntyre, their visas expired, and somehow the office flubbed on this one. There are rumors Barrett may be OUT UNTIL AFTER SUMMERSLAM when this can be fixed. That hurts this angle a lot. If that was the case, I would bring back Danielson now, and pretend he usurped Barrett as the leader or something.

well, whoever it turns out to be, they've garnered my interest, at least for a few weeks. If it's HHH, I'll be gone again. Cole, I could definitely see a swerve, like I said, they're making it too obvious that it's him

They are making it obvious, but they always do.
And that news of Drew and Barret just made me wrinkle my brow. Way to go, recently fired WWE employee.
