After 15 years of regularity, and an added 5 or so of sporadic work at it, I have decided to stop making compliation tapes while I watch wrestling shows. I literally have a VCR tape for every month from 1995 on. In some cases, each month has 2 tapes. Do the math.
When I had much less of these, I was able to go back and watch them again, or at least FF through to the fun stuff. Popping on a random tape from March 1998 is a hoot. I have some great stuff on there. I never taped "everything" - I taped guys I liked, cool promos....major angles. If something happened that you thought was funny or cool, its on one of my tapes.
So main reason for this is space, I dont want to add another 300 videotapes in the next few years. And also time, I dont have time to watch this stuff again. Plus, my favorite stuff was old / vintage - the wrestling of my younger days, and i got that.
Also, with my trading friends, if I want a comp of Mr Anderson, I can get it. If I want the whole NXT Season 1, I can get it. If I want every single match the TNA divas had in 2010, I can get it.
I WILL still tape 24/7 stuff. Comps, old cards, stuff from the tv shows before my taping times. But this will be much less intrustive and more fun a hobby.
So last night was my first night in a Hell of a long time watching a wrestling show without a remote in my hand to push record here and there. And.....
....I fell asleep! LOL.
But anyway, there you go. Snicker if you will, but this is momentous.
