I could really use the game start times ASAP... I'm actually considering selling my NYR Opening Night ticket on Thursday, but obviously won't if the Yankees are during the afternoon. I also need to know if I should tell my boss that I'm leaving early on Friday.

You would do that for road games?

Fridays aren't a busy day at work, it would really be no problem for me to leave at 3:30 if we had a 4pm game.

According to my clock, 6:30pm is still 2 hours earlier than 8:30pm, and theoretically gets me home 2 hours earlier...

I might stop by after the Rangers home opener but the game might be over already by then. I'll be there early tomorrow. Jw

That's not true, as I know there is a second hot spot. I expect that far more people will be at your place though and let's face it, the party only is where I am at.

Much different. I wouldn't call it competing at all. With a large group of people, not everyone wants to go to the same spot.

So that means there's a THIRD spot, whereever Vinny is. Wow. An unforeseen circumstance.

Dana and I were on our couch last night, with a special mystery guest. We had a good time. I used to enjoy our raucous playoff bashes as Jeremys (and going WAY back, the Sports Page) but there is something to be said for watching road playoff games and being able to hear the announcers (as bad as they can be). We also had the added benefit of the DVR, and rewinding and pausing when the situation called for it. There was an idiot at the end of the game holding up a sign of that alcoholic Indian character making a muscle pose, and the sign says, "NOT IN OUR TEPEE"

I should be over around 4pm today (maybe earlier)......

i am glad i am not planning/participating in either party I didn't "plan" anything, I merely told where I was going to be and hoped that people would want to join me. Frankly, anyone who would go to a "competing" party is someone who I probably don't want joining me at Manitoba's anyway. And it's unfortunate that you don't want to watch the game with your friends, but that's your choice and I don't take offense. Mystery guest at Manitoba's last night, too! Also, we could hear the announcers just fine at the bar. And I couldn't think of even one situation during the game last night where I wished I had a DVR.

Thanks to all who attended tonight. A great time had by all (well, as great a time as could be had when coupled with a Yankees loss).
Obviously, I blame Torre for tonight's outcome. Any other manager would have made his team get more than 3 hits.

If I'm getting this right--is this where you want to watch the road games? Two years later?

It was quite successful in 2007 (well, the gathering was, the game result wasn't). So, yes.
Is there a start time yet for Sunday?

Domi - I went to Manitoba's finally...when I was there last. Very cool place...unfortunately only a Mets game was on.
As for me...anxiously waiting for the Angels to get the monkey off their back...so I can see some Yankee baseball in person again.
