i am putting this here in case any of our IT friends can help me out..... i have a 12 inch G4 Ibook. The keyboard got a little fucked up and i wanted to replace it. I purchased a used "late model 2004 ibook" keyboad from ebay. its the same size and width as my old one, but i have one small problem after removing the old keyboard and installing a new one (which took almost an hour cause of those tiny ass screws that are actually SMALLER than eyeglass screws) i find that the little green plastic part (which you can see in the picture below) is about a half inch too long, causing it to bend and bind under the keyboard and wont let it lay flush. does anyone know if these are not truly compatable, as i was led to believe? is there an easy fix? is there a chance i have it in backwards (i doubt, but really dont want to go thru the process of removing those screws again). can i just shove and bend/crease the whole thing in there to make it work? thanks in advance for any help
