It doesn't get any better than fried Oreo.

Deep-fried Oreos 1 cup buttermilk pancake mix 3/4 cup ice water 1 quart vegetable oil 14 Oreo cookies Powdered sugar
Freeze cookies for three hours. In a heavy-gauge 3-quart saucepan heat oil to 350 degrees. While oil is heating, set up a cookie sheet with paper towels for draining. In a medium-sized mixing bowl stir water into buttermilk pancake mix until thoroughly combined. As soon as the batter is smooth, dip each cookie, one at a time, into batter and smooth batter, making a thin coat completely around the cookie. Place coated cookie carefully into hot oil. Repeat for each cookie. Fry on both sides, turning over once until golden brown. Remove fried cookie from hot oil with metal tongs and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar. Let cool slightly (about two minutes) before serving. Note: Success depends on the batter, which insulates the Oreo from direct contact with the oil. If the battering of the cookie is done right, it will become a delicious, edible shell and protect the melted cookie.
This looks like a recipe I can keep on-hand. Can blame this concoction on a craving.

That sounds like a man who has lost a lot of money in the fantasy baseball league. And it's not diminishing winnings. It's actually the very definition of winnings. But hey, whatever makes you feel good.

I'll bet that definition would change quickly for Tom if the winnings came from a sportsbook and were in excess of the IRS reporting threshold.

I won -$20, the Giants won the game & we watched at home with no "traditional" Super Bowl food. All and all, it was quite the shitty Sunday.

I thought it was a glorious Sunday. Perhaps one of my favorite Sundays of all time.

Actually, it was one of the best finishes of all time.
But for 3 quarters, both teams looked like shit.

I thought the Giants' defense was absolutely phenomenal for 4 quarters. Offensively not so much, but the defense was brilliant.

I correct my assumption, Tom won $350, once he gives you $450. At this rate, he's going to be losing money.

How did Tom go from $900 to $800? He won $1000, paid a $100 tip, and collected $900. That's how I remember the story.

he paid $100 to get in, collected $ $1000 in winnings, less the vig of $100 brings him to a net of $800. -100 +1000 -100 = $800. And we figured it to be much less when he pays off Dana and Emma. I'm going to start a collection for him and pass the hat.

Good point. Tom can use this money to pay his fantasy baseball bill. So I'll get my cut too.

Actually, I asked Dana which box she would pick if hypothetically we were going to invest $100 in one, and she picked the exact box I had earmarked. That, to me, was destiny. And, at the end of the day, destiny was $1000.

Or $800. Whatever. Actually, I am still going with 900. Even if we didn't win we would have spent 100 on the box. So we are still 900 bucks richer than we would have been had we lost.

I don't see how it's $900, when you are $800 richer, less the fantasy baseball fee, which I'm assuming will be paid in full.

We will be paying the fantasy baseball in installments, like every year, with the minimum payout being paid day of draft.
Oh, and now that we have a full league its time to send out an email reminding people of said payment, and draft date.
