Uggity ug ug. I forgot that by the Sox winning the AL crown, Terry Francona will be managing the AL All-Stars for next years Yankee Stadium all-star sendoff. Not only that, as the POST astutley noted, he will probably be packing the squad with a heap of his own, claiming quite the Boston presence on that field for the eve.

Your arguement is trite, and is not supported by anyone else on this board.

The support of others on this board is irrelevant, given the stupid arguments that come from those people. That said, you have yet to make a single point in all 1137 posts you've made to date. At least they try to add something.

You think it will rain OUT? Not sure who has the advantage there. If the game starts, it helps Colorado because it could fuck up Beckett.

I'm still absolutely flabbergasted (though I know I shouldn't be) that James is saying that the Cowboys' O-line in the 90s is underrated by many, when most people know that was the absolute key to their success, to the point where Emmitt Smith doesn't even sniff the all-time rushing lead without them.

I'm even more shocked someone claims the first thing they think of when thinking of the 90's cowboys is the o line. Give it a fucking rest, do many people know it, yeah of course. But in discussions talk will go to Aikman, Emmit or Irving before it gets to the o line.I'm not saying people don't know it or recognize it, but they don't get the credit the other three do. Christ on a pony. All I said was that Aikman and Emmit get more credit than the o line. But leave it to you to miss that and just run your mouth claiming I'm saying someone other than what I'm saying. Douche.
And Balls, I'll use small words and short sentences.
Team in playoffs better than team who plays golf. Team in World Series better than team who lose in first round. K?

James, trying to use my material will not make your point.
The Yankees do not play in the NL. Therefore, they didn't have the easier opponents to roll through.
If all 8 teams were mixed and seeded in one pool, you might have a point. But the playoffs are two separate tournaments with the champions facing off in the WS.
I realize you don't get much, but at least get that.
The Rockies wouldn't have even made the playoffs in the AL.

I realize you don't get much, but at least get that. Right, cause you get so much.
Fact is the playoffs are not mixed. And However easy, the rockies rolled through their competition while the yankees got ousted early. Keep telling yuorself a world series bound team is above a team who loses early. It doesn't change the fact the yankees are out the rockies aren't. The rockies can do in the playoffs what the yankees couldn't, win games.

But again, if you have a different path to the same spot, an easier path, you are not a better team just for getting there. Boston v. Cleveland really was the main event. The top 4 teams in the AL are better than the top 4 teams in the NL. All of them.
Yes, the Yankees are out and Colorado is still around. But that simply does not change that the Rockies are not even a playoff team in the AL. Yes, they won games in the playoffs, against lesser teams.

They beat the yanks in june, don't see why they couldn't do that in october especially when a team who had a shitty record vs them bounced them.

Three games in June are not enough to matter.
But you kind of made a point there. The Yanks were 7-3 against Cleveland. Who would you say was the better team? If you say the Indians, then how could you say that if the Yanks were 6-0 in the regular season against them?
Any team can beat any team in a short number of games. Even the worst team in baseball can do that. The Rockies are just a .500 team on an amazing hot streak.

Listen, Jimmy...I don't know who the fuck you talk to, but anyone who understands football gives the O-line a ton of credit. People who don't are people who don't understand the game.

I am a die-hard Cowboys fan and loved Emmit. But when Cowboys-haters used to bring up the argument that Barry Sanders would have run for twice as much with that offensive line, I nodded my head in agreement.
James, I think you're wrong. I think anyone who knows anything about football realizes how dominant that O-line was.

Jesus you fucking people have your heads so far up your asses. I know people realize everything about the o line, I'm not saying they get no credit, but you are fucking lying to yourselves if you honestly think when talking about the Cowboys run, the first topic of discussion is the o line.
Person A:"That Cowboys dynasty was one hell of a team huh"? Person B: "Yeah that O line was insane. I heard they had a great running back and quaterback, but I forgot their names, it's all about O line".
Right, that's how the discussion goes.
Grover proved my point ripping MSB. Grover did mention the O line, he went to Troy and Emmit and Irving first. And I'm not taking a dig at Grover, all my point is that's how everyone talks about the cowboys, those 3 always get named first. Fuck, I heard someone mention Jay Novacheck before the O line. And for the record, before Justin claims it's a 12 year old friend of mine, it was an older guy like 40 something at a bar I was at once.
I'm not saying they get no credit, they get a pretty good share, but nowhere near Aikman or anyone else, nowhere near the amount they should get. It's insane to think if you ask someone to name a cowboy on those winning teams Moose Johnson gets brought up before Emmit.

I know Moose wasn't a lineman, I was just throwing out random names from the team to show how retarded your logic is that the o line gets more credit than the other guys. Brainiac.
