Well, things kick off June 7th. For the first year in many, I will not be "streaming online" as I am away at a work conference from the 6th through the 8th. I am going to miss goofing off on here talking draft and especially Yankee picks from work.
The big news for draft-heads like me is that for the first time the draft will get some live coverage. ESPN-2 will run live from 2-6PM on day 1, which will easily cover the first round and the supplemental picks. Then, for those with nothing else to do, a whole heap of picks will be rifled through. Whats cool about televised coverage is analysis between rounds, and footage of players.
The first and supplemental rounds will be drafted live from Disney Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, with the further rounds back to the normal conference call format.
So I will be out of the loop, but DVRing for leisurely viewing over the weekend, accompanied by beer and wings.
I will be around here and there in the next few weeks with Yankee leanings, local product chatter, and other draft bon mots.

Because the Yankees have been living high on the hog, they dont pick until number 30. Their second pick does not show until number 95! Basically, the Yankees have the last pick in as many rounds as the draft goes.
Teams accumulate higher picks by being bad (sensible) or as recompensation for losing free agents when teams like the Yankees swoop in and steal them.
Good thing the Yankees rebuilt the system in the last couple of drafts, cause by the time they get to picking here, all the highly projected talent will be off the board.
Tampa gets the first overall pick, and they will get a Hell of a pitcher out of it.

Sometimes they lose free agents too and get some picks, like with Pettitte, but it does usually go the other way. How is the order determined? Reverse order of record?

LOL! How many "high-profile" free agents have the Yankees lost in the last decade? LOL! It starts with reverse order, with teams losing SIGNIFICANT free agents - like the ones TO the Yankees - moving up in order.
