Go see Up In The Air. Great movie - especially Clooney's dissertation on who to avoid and who to stand behind in airport security lines.

Avatar--not a horrible movie, though I rooted for the humans.

I disagree Balls.
It WAS a horrible movie. James Cameron can stick his Limousine Liberal preaching up his fucking ass. He should spend more time publically praising obsolete child molester film makers and less time making this shite.
From the guy who brought us the terminator, I wanna see shit blow up. I don't want a thinly veiled lecture on the plight of the American Indian and the unjustness of the conflicts in the Middle East.

Which is probably why I couldn't buy into the movie. Plus, if as they mentioned, Earth destroyed its own environment, and if as I read, they needed the rocks to revitalize Earth, wouldn't the humans have a right to live too?

Actually I re-watched GSH 1 last night. GSH 2 is on for tonight.
Had to laugh, thinking of Gooner and Dever, when Charlie Hunnam was explaining firms to Elijah Wood....
"Arsenal...GREAT football...shit firm!"

Avatar will win best picture.
That is pissing me off because Up In The Air was a FAR superior film.
Avatar will win for it's liberal agenda.

A coworker and I were browsing around in Best Buy last week, and we found a couple of discs containing "15 WWII movies!" in the bargain rack. 15 little known offerings for $4.99. We each grabbed one and decided to form an impromptu "movie club." First one down last weekend. The Battle of El Alamein (1968) - year of my birth. A rare film in that it features the battle from the Italian soldiers point of view. It was an ok film, despite bad dubbing, and ridiculous solider garb, like shorts and feathers in the helmets. Desert battle after all. Feel free to check your Best Buy bargain bin and jump in....Gung Ho is the next movie.

I believe you are thinking of a different Gung Ho.
The one we will be watching is a 1943 war film.

I watched Law Abiding Citizen on Saturday. Taken was a much better revenge thriller.

It's like when Crash won, and all the nerds went on stage to remind us how bad racism is. Crash was a terrible movie. Didn't see this, but it doesn't sound nearly as good, but also not nearly as good as something for best picture. The one positive for it winning will be seeing a Sci Fi flick win Best Picture.

Agreed. This was a genuinely funny movie.
So there I was at the Blackjack table with all my wash 'n' dries... did I tell you I had they idea for them first? .... They BARRED me. They saw I was too good a player and they barred me.
---How much did you win
Well, I was down a few hundred, but they could see I was getting ready to make my move.

I thought I had seen Night Shift, but I was thinking of Night Patrol, actually, checking both on Amazon. No, never saw Night Shift. Here's the next war flick on my workplace 2-person movie club, out of the bargain rack at Best Buy. Cool cover to this one, Id take that as a poster!

The only reason I don't regret seeing The Runaways last night is because I feel like my resume as a huge Joan Jett fan would be incomplete if I hadn't.
Other than that, it was a massive waste of time and money, both for the people who created them movie and for me as a viewer.
What an atrocious pile!
The plain facts are, the story of the Runaways (the band) is just not that compelling. Typical 70s dysfunctional kids meet, form a band, gain some extremely modest notoriety, then fold up shop. There are no major scandals of note, no tragedies, nothing....it's boring story which made for an awful awful movie.
