I was pretty sure I heard David Foster say "Look, Carlton..." I asked Tom but he said he wasn't paying attention. Lea Tompson SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!! So does Paterson. And I'd still rather look at Jericho than Cheech.
Gay Rodriguez is going to win. And I still say Hal Sparks is NOT gay. Carlton's performance of "On the Wings Of Love" however, was.

LOL at Little Richard telling Leah Thompson that she reminded him of Tina Turner, then when she thanked him, he clarified, "the LEGS not the VOICE!"

Lea Thompson is HOT. Therefore, she can stay.

Not happy that Lea Thompson got eliminated. They got the worst 3 in there, but she was hot and therefore should have been allowed to stay. Cheech and the gymnast could go.

Wow. Just wow. They have lost control of this show.
EVERYONE is mad. The fans are mad at the judges, especially Marie Osmond, for their negative remarks. The judges, especially Marie Osmond, are mad at the fans. She even waved them off disdainfully, and at another time snarled, "I KNOW what I am talking about."
The contestants are mad at the judges too. The judges were especially harsh tonight. Little Richard even stepped out of character to lay into Cheech Marin. I never thought I would type those words.
All night long the judges were making snide comments to the admittedly poor singers, the fans were heckling and booing the judges remarks, and the contestants were bitching about everything from not liking the songs picked out for them, all the practice hurting their voice, or how they were being criticized for choreography that SOMEONE ELSE WROTE FOR THEM. Host Wayne Brady himself had to step in and school one of the judges who was ripping into the gay guy for "backing up" during his duet, when that was what he was told to do. Brady had to tell the judge that this was something presented to the celebs.
The show is a mess, and control has been lost. They are going to need to revamp it somehow cause every single person on it or in the crowd is miserable.

This show is awful. Being at the game, I watched the abridged version. Fast forward the crap, listen to singing, fast forward Little Richard, and completely roll over Cheech.
I didn't even listen to Gay Rod.
Wayne Brady is probably the best singer in that room.

Hal Sparks is being railroaded. If he went, we would have started taping the show and simply started watching the Carlton bits in protest. I was stunned he was in the bottom 3, and also surprised he was not the top vote-getter, period. Lucy Lawless?? Come on with that weak shit.
LOL @ Dennis DeYoung doing the robot dance. Hal too. Ah, Mr Roboto on the TV. Bought back fond memories of Baloo playing that at Jeremys to piss everyone off.
Go Carlton! We want to see the Carlton dance, which he will bring out if he hits the finals. Oh, and go Hal Sparks, you fucker! Very entertaining. I am a Hal Sparks fan. He was my MySpace friend but I gave him the boot at one time for I dont know why. But he's my friend again!

Hal Sparks actually managed to get the band to play in his key. I think Xena and Carlton also can sing, but a band can make even the best singers sound bad. I think they are playing the music for the SINGER, not the actor, and that's making them sound worse than they are. Carlton was on Broadway, and he definitely can sing. He sang a duet with Tom Jones on the show and it was good.
I know Xena and GayRod can sing too.
Hal Sparks was literally the best singer this week. He and the guy from Styx were decent.
The idea that he was ok, and CHEECH wasn't was almost comical.
I don't care what they do. No one gives a crap who really wins, so they just need to cheat and make sure Carlton is in the finals.

Tom mentioned yesterday that he thinks the show is being cut short due to the fact that it sucks. It makes sense. It looks like they are calling next week's episode the finals, and will be eliminating 2 people tonight.
I guess they just want to get Carlton into the finals so he can do the Carlton dance.
I hope they pair him with Tom Jones. That's all people want to see.
Cheech's performance last night was horrific. All of them sucked, but Cheech was on another level of crap.

It would be unfair to pair Calrton with Tom Jones, and would give him an unfair advantage on kitsch. It would be just as blatant as pairing him with Will Smith.
Yeah, this show is being rushed along. No way next week was supposed to be the finals, from what I had read going into this mess.
LOTS of changes yesterday. The judges came on with speeches changing their minds about certain people, and went out of their way to be gracious. That one record guy who had been sniping with Hal Sparks totally kissed his ass, after Sparks basically went on knowing he is on the way out and screamed his way through a Twisted Sister song. That was a simple act of defiance, folks, and he got rubbed down instead of punched out for it by the judges.
Way to go Little Richard to throw in wacky race quotes out of nowhere, including a "screaming like a white woman" line that seems to have lit a fire under a few folks.
The favorite right now is Lucy Lawless, probably due to her Xena groupies. She is slaughtering EVERYONE in every poll I had stumbed across on this, and like 80% of all the threads on the Fox website message board about the show, which I peeked upon last night to find out why they are making the next week the finals, are about her.

I don't care if it gives Carlton an unfair advantage. I want to hear him sing It's Not Unusual. If he doesn't, it's malarky.
What they could do is bring out Tom Jones for the final episode.

Disappointing. I wanted to see Tom Jones. The good part about not being home and doing the DVR is that you can literally finish the show in about 10 minutes. Fastforward all the malarky and watch Carlton with some snippets of the others. Hal Sparks should only sing with the guy from Styx. They're actually very good on stage. But when Sparks sings alone or with anyone else, he sucks. Kind of strange.
If Tom Jones couldn't have been there, they should have done a faster, more upbeat song for the Carlton dance.

Why? More than likely he did enough to WIN last night. Isnt that the point? Hal Sparks made the right move in bringing Dennis DeYoung back, who probably won himself back some back in the day fans. He kicked up our interest again. Lucy Lawless is an internet fave, and she drives almost all the traffic on the Fox board for the show. But I think Alfonso Ribiero carried the day.
One thing that is OBVIOUS is that the judges were called into a room a few weeks back and told to stop hammering the contestants that were left. They went from being almost 100% negative to saying NOTHING at all that was not positive. Even when Hal Sparks made a fool of them last week by screaming his way through the Twisted Sister song, they gave him kudos. That was a joke, and no one was more surpised he was not ripped than Hal Sparks himself.
I am glad this ends tonight. Its taking up too much of our time.

The point isn't to win. The point was to entertain me.
I hope he does the Carlton dance again.
DEFINITELY smart to bring Dennis DeYoung back. They actually sound very good in their duets.
