The world lost Kurt Cobain. I gp frpm a day or happiness(my birthday), to a day of mourning. I don't care if most of yiou hate him and the band, but throw on at least one Nirvana song to celebrate what time we had with Kurt. And at for a little bit, take in the greatness that is Kurt and Nirvana.
RIP Kurt, All in all is all we are.

Geez, it does not feel all that long ago. Time flies. James, werent you but a little spanker 14 years ago?
I remember exactly where I was that day, working at the mannequin/display company, sitting at my desk, playing rock radio. They came on with an announcement that "a man" had been found shot to death in Cobain's home. I was like, "sucks to be him right now, someone dead in his house. Wonder if he did it."
And it took one of my coworkers to look at me and go, "um, it probably IS him, you idiot." for me to consider that option.
And for the next month all I could hear on the radio was Nirvana. Well, I am going to pull out "Unplugged" - its actually the only Nirvana I own. I will play it for you, James, and for Kurt Cobain's memory.

Bless you Sheriff. Dare I say Unplugged is not only the best Unplugged ever, but one of the best albums ever? Kurt showed his genius picking that playlist.
And for the record, I was 8 years old, the annoucnemnt came on April 8th, he was dead for 3 days before he was found by an electrician. I came home from scholl and threw on MTV and ate cereal, a custom for me during elementary school. Kurt Loader came in and said he was dead for three days. Mother fucker is like Jesus! It's rough going from birthday mode to mourning. The man was fucking great.

I was in my parents car being driven to my friend's sweet 16 at the Swan Club when I heard it on the radio. I was a pretty big Nirvana fan at the time. Then I got pissed off because a bunch of girls who never cared about the band at all were all wearing Kurt Cobain t-shirts to school a couple of days later. Lame.

I'll throw 2 cents in here..I was in London and back then was still sitting in 39. Tom called me from NY City to London to tell me Kurt Cobain died. I'm sure we ended up making a joke of it, but to this day I remeber TJ tracked me down to let me know about it

Bleach is one of my favorite albums. I'm a big fan of Blew and Love Buzz.
