So another Yankee minor-league coach is claiming his World Series ring was "stolen." This time out of a locked desk drawer.
Enough with these guys. I say any coach or team employee who loses their ring is fired.

NOT voting for Swisher as the write-in. I'm voting for Delmon Young and Billy Wagner. Happy?

I voted for Swisher because I don't like Youkilis.

Not that I'm complaining, but does anyone else find it odd that Michael Kay never travels to Toronto to call games. i first noticed this 3 or 4 years ago, and since then he has not been up there once. It's one of the closest teams to travel to and they are there 3 times a year. Might he be banned from Canada?

I think with the signing of Soriano, the Yanks need to rethink what they are doing with Joba. I think they should do what they should have done in 2008, and send him to the minors to start. He could either work his way into the rotation if he dominates OR they can salvage whatever trade value he has left.

that would give Scranton-WB a nice 1-2 combo of Joba and Igawa

Scranton-Wilkes Barre would sweep the Mets.

Enough with Joba, really. He has been overrated from the start. The worst thing that could have happened was him coming in and blitzing the league like he did. People expected that to be commonplace, when it was really a combo of right-place, right-time, and a pitcher no one had seen throwing gas.
You cant get by on just gas, and when he starts he has to tone even that down, and his other stuff is pedestrian. I have read MANY scouting reports that he is officially a bust, and while he can have a servicable career, forget about superstardom.
On top of everything else, he has a weight problem, and apparent head issues. The guy has to go. They should have dealt him before the rest of baseball woke up and realized he was oversold all along.

The problem is that Joba stopped THROWING gas. He wasn't throwing 97 after 2007.
I believe that if he were to focus on conditioning and mature, and if he went to the minors, he could salvage some of that reputation.
He'll never be a starter, or even that great of a pitcher, if things remain status quo. He either needs to be traded or sent to the minors for NY.
