A-Rod and Tex not "homegrown players."
Neither were the "3 of the 7 free-agents."

And again--so what? If a team wants the best players to come here, they go for it.
THIS year, the Yankees didn't do shit in the free agent market. Are you bitching about the teams that did? Of course not. Teams have a right to spend as they see fit.

I love the met fans who complain abouyt the Yankee payroll, but are ok with their team, the perennial highest payroll in the NL, signing Jason Bay. Where's the gripe about competitive balance then? saw something that the Mets spent $750,000,000 more than the Marlins from 2000 to 2009 for 4 more wins over the decade
