Many bold predictions by many sports writers have the Giants making a big splash in the NFC. If Eli Manning follows in his brothers foodsteps this year whats stopping them from going deep into the playoffs?

That's a big if, but they're definitely the team to beat on paper.

i dont know about you guys, but does it seem like the media is talking about every team in the NFC East besides the Giants?? It's unbelievable. Enough about T.O.....they're saying the Eagles are going to be good this year.....still trying to figure that one out.....and lots of talk about the Redskins (saying they're a debacle right now - give me a break its preseason).
I'm sort of indifferent about the lack of media attention the Giants get. I don't want them to be overhyped and I like when they surprise people.
I still say the Giants make the playoffs.

All I have to say is that the Giants looked pretty good last night...and I don't put alot of credence on preseason...But the defense looked awsome ....and Jacobs is begining to show what everyone was talking about...again it all depends on Manning...but it looks pomising

I agree but i don't put much into it ..it was basically a second string defense...but with his size and his speed ..he should be unreal this year

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Former NFL running back Dave Meggett was charged with second-degree rape of his former girlfriend. Meggett, who played for 10 seasons with the New York Giants, New England Patriots and New York Jets, is accused of raping the 27-year-old woman Wednesday or Thursday at her home, Pitt County Sheriff's Detective P.E. Moore said Friday. Whats wrong with these ppl ...no means no...sometimes sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-meggett-arrest&prov=ap&type=lgns

Whats wrong with these ppl ... I think there's more to this story. My guess is that she is at fault and led Meggett on. She was asking for it. And when she said no, I bet it was in response to the question, "would you mind if we had sex now?" Can't blame Meggett on this one.

That rape joke wasn't funny in the Jon Benet thread either.

Excellant game yesterday and I left early and made Capone go with me because I did not want to get arrested. I believe I actually did something smart for once and now I am getting all kinds of shit for it.

Leaving a game early and missing your teams chintzy comeback = NOT a smart thing.

disgusted with today's performance.....plaxico is a chump.....shockey needs to shut his mouth...anyone who tells me coughlin is a disciplinarian is way off.....this team needs to get their asses kicked in practice with the bye coming up

Shockey is a "team guy"
It's all about the "U"
What a crock.
Are there ANY good citizens from Miami in the NFL?

If Tiki Barber retires after this year he is a selfish prick and I hope he looses his voice....The Giants are screwed without him right now...

He's in love with himself, not his team or the Giant fans.

Well, do you blame him? He's been getting his ass kicked all year, and he knows he can walk away on top and get just as much cash from TV.

LOL! LOLOLOL!!! LOLOL!!
Was there ever a more pathetic game played on both sides of the ball?? The Giants never even made it across the 50....at one point, New Orleans led the Giants 50-0 in plays in the offensive zone...
On top of this, the Giants apparently broke a record for dropped passes (at least 16) and we know how well the defense did. That vaunted Giants defense. LOL! LOLOL! Turnovers too! Stupid penalties!
The announcers are speculating that this may be the worst football game ever played by a team on both sides of the ball.
LOL!!! LOLOLOL!!! Way to step up for that playoff spot!
LOL!!!!

That said, they can still get the #6 seed with a win this Saturday against your lowly Redskins. Jw

My lowly Redskins have been playing better football than the mighty Giants recently. They'll beat em.
