The Giants/Jets thread has made the Tuna angry. How could people talk of the playoffs and not FIRST bring up America's football team? The Giants will choke, and (sorry John) the Jets are as relevant as the Mets.

We let up 39 points to the Detroit Lions yesterday. Now might not exactly be the most ideal time to talk trash.

The Cowboys haven't been "America's Team" since they had a Naval Academy graduate playing quarterback.

Although they did enjoy quite a bumpy ride as South America's team for a while.

If the Boys choke in the playoffs, I'm blaming Laura and this thread.
That is all.

I hate the Pats! (And, as mentioned in previous threads, all sports teams from my home state.) I'm not a huge football fan, but I will be pulling for the Giants Saturday, and hope that Eli does his best impression of his brother.

Before i head out to the bar and watch this game... i want to say a couple of words...
FUCK NEW ENGLAND, the people that live there and the fuckin teams that reside there as well. I personally would love to see Eli Manning have a career game against these shant mick pricks!
When Strahan sacks tom brady, i want to see Giselle cry and then Jeremey Shockey come off the side lines broken leg and all, whip out his crank and piss on Brady...
Lets GO GIANTS! I said my peace... time for another beer. Cheers

I agree, except that I would be perfectly content to skip the part about Shockey's crank.

They played tough and they went all out, which was pretty damn cool. But that game could have been won.

Go Pats Go. Now, they're set up for the big let down when they lose in the desert in febuary. The Giants played a great game, but all I got out of that game was that the Pats can be beat. The Giants aren't some pushover team, so I don't want to say any team can beat them, but any team in the playoffs can and need to really watch that game to see what the best chance of beating New England is.
Oh and a great first half for the Boys, thanks Laura. The jinx on the offense continues into the playoffs cause of you and this thread.
And congrats to Romo who just set a cowboy season record for completions with 335, passing Danny White.

The Pats played several tight games this year. They definitely can be beaten. Hopefully some of these top tier teams don't get upset early and build on what the Giants did.

Please note that since this thread went up, bad things have happened to the cowboys. They now head into a bye week with ZERO momentum. Romo is going to have anither Seattle Screwup. And why the fuck are the Eagles mentioned in the headline and not the Skins, who have had the boys number all year? You couldn't have picked a division rival that actually beats the cowboys, no you call out the last place fucking team. Now, the boys are fucking playing like a last place team. You fucking stink Laura, you fucking jinx. I am now depressed for the first time this football season and look foward to putting all my effort into hockey now that Laura has ended the cowboys season. Fucking womderful.

Giants will win in week 1 of the playoffs and than they will play the Packers if Wash wins their game? So I can see us possibly getting to the NFC Championship game.

I'm fucking sick of every fucking reporter on Romo's case cause of Jessica Simpson. Oh, he lost a game when she was there, wow. These fucking morons don't do their job too well cause it wasn't her first game, she also saw the Packers game where Romo had a great game. NO ONE MENTIONS THAT AT ALL. I can't take this shit no more. I want Terry Bradshaw to get throat cancer and parkisons disease all in one day. I want Dan Marino to have his tounge cut out with some corn on the cob holders. Fuck the Giants, fuck the reporters. Romo, and the Dallas fucking Cowboys don't have to prove a fucking thing to anyone. 13-3, NFC champs. The team is banged up, and stumbled into the playoffs. If they lose, that miht be the problem, not if Jessica Simpson is in attendance or not. Fucking stupid dicks.

Awesome game yesterday. All things considered, James isn't that bad of a Cowboys fan, so I won't lash out at him. I like how he's not blaming Jessica Simpson. But that said, the Post called her Yoko Romo, and that was very funny.
There are others that talk a lot of shit against the Giants, and I'll leave it to other Giants fans to give them their come uppance.
Bottom line is that it was a great game. People on opposing teams crying--always funny.
Looking forward to next week's game.

I just wish the Colts won. They seemed like a better matchup. The Patriots beat the crap out of the Chargers earlier this year. Did the Chargers improve like the Giants did?

I'm depressed and and very upset. I will be my room drinking for a week recovering. I do want to say congrats to the Giants and the Giant fans. The boys came in rusty and nervous, and the Giants took advantage. They've been ready to play for weeks and got a great pst season run going. Good job, see ya next year.
Go Pats Go!

I'll say that, but then they'll win. They have quite a few weapons hurt on offense.

I just wish somehow Knoblauch will bet the Patriots. But the problem is that the spread will be factored in, and the Patriots will still win. I wish Indy won yesterday.

The Chargers are done. Only Wade Phillips could find a way to lose this game for the Patriots.
Giants/Pats Super Bowl.

What you just saw yesterday, James, in the Giants/Cowboys game: a shitty shitty coach go 13-3 in the regular season with a great coach's team, and having Wade Phillips at the helm finally caught up to them at the most inopportune time.

It was everything, the entire team sucked yesterday. Guys are wide open dropping passes is inexcusable, and that's just nerves and football fundamentals. Coaching isn't going to change that. The defense blew, couldn't stop those mid range passes or the run. Romo's head was fucked up, he was frustrated at everyone and everything. It was fucking pathetic. Is Philips blame free? Fuck no. But he doesn't take full blame, the team as a whole bought the farm, and pretty much they underestimated a team riding high in the playoffs cause of two wins in the regular season. They took the Giants lightly, yes coaching is to blame for that, but fact is this team did better with the atmosphere Philips brought to Dallas then Tuna. They're still winless in the postseason since 96, but look at how Romo did this year, TO, etc. The Boys are better off with Philips.
That being said, I'd fire Philips and promote Jason Garrett so he doesn't go coach someone else and make that offense sick.
