Beckham reaches agreement with the L.A. Galaxy!!!!!
Holy Shit! This is ridiculous. I mean seriously...what's a good analogy for this....Barry Bonds deciding he wants to quit Major League baseball for a career in the Mexican Leagues?
This reeks of a PR move....somehow I doubt Beckham would have reached an agreement with Real Salt Lake. Someone and his wife are angling for film careers!

Get ready to be blanketed by Beckham and Posh footage. Some papers are predicting they will become the new Brad and Angelina. I own a copy of Spice World, and I blame that on the now-Victoria Beckham. But I dont want to see her every day.
I work with a guy that played goal in college, and even trained with the Man U developmental program before his career was jettisoned by an arm injury. We have started talking the game, and just finished up a a lively banter regarding this this morning.

Awwwwwwwwwwww - surprise surprise!
David Beckham’s $250 million move to the L.A. Galaxy soccer team has many, including Giorgio Armani, wondering if the sinewy smasher has a hidden Hollywood agenda. “I think he wants to be an actor, not a footballer,” Armani said last week. “He is a very handsome man, and his [soccer] career could be nearing an end. Also, look at his wife [Victoria aka Posh Spice]. I saw her at Tom Cruise’s wedding, and she is a very bubbly lady.” In fact, Beckham admitted that he called his pal Cruise for advice about the move out of Spain. “That’s going to be a big help for us, to have friends when we arrive in L.A.,” the jock said.

Eh, not much of a soccer presence on here. What can I tell ya. I wont be starting a NASCAR thread either, as much as I would like to.

Gooner (any other soccer fans):
Exactly WHO is Neil "Razor" Ruddock and what is his claim to fame.
His "You're Shit and You Know You Are" chant on YouTube has actually become ingrained in the fiber of inside jokes in a certain circle of my friends.

I don't know who Cantona is or what the significance of his collar is, but "You're Shit And You Know You Are" and "Sheep Shagger" are fucking FUNNY!

yeah, he's somewhat of a journeyman in the English league from the 80's & 90's. He was one of the last few hardmen to really mix it up before the league became foo-foo and full of weird Africans and frogs.

LOL @ Cantona being confused for a hardman...
Sorry Justin, I was actually referring to Ruddock with my statement. He had stints with West Ham, Spurs, Southampton, Liverpool, and a couple at the den in Millwall.

Man U put on a clinic yesterday. They benefitted from a fortunate goal by Park and then defended really well and counterattacked with fury.
