Sounds grand, but going chatter around here has a lot of people choosing to do the comfort of the couch. Much easier to concentrate on the task at hand that way....while I used to love partying with the crew at Jeremys for Yankee playoff baseball, a good part of me would have preferred being home, where i could hear the commentary, concentrate pitch to pitch, and not have to deal with exchanging pleasantries all night long.

I shall be watching the game at some party on 86th Street, and the home of my dodgeball captain.
25 people strong.

Mostly likely in San Diego with Jay (he's posted here....the Padres fan) at his house because he has a new pool table!

I'll be home watching it form the couch. Getting out of work at 6PM (OT) and then just relaxing since I have to be at work on Monday morning at 7 AM.
Hey, how you guys doing? You all been behaving? Don't want either team to win. Just give me the magical numbers.

Super Bowl parties suck.
If you're a football fan, I implore you to relish this final game and treat it with the reverence and attention it deserves. It's all we have left.

Now THAT'S what sucks...watching the Super Bowl at a sports bar. I will never do that.
I remember before I got DirecTV, I used to go to National's across the street from Angels Stadium at least 3 times a week to watch Yankees games...that blew!

I don't mind so much watching games at a sports bar, though not having the sound for a game can suck. But you get used to it.
And actually I don't mind watching the Super Bowl in a bar, as long as I am around people that are watching it, too.
But Super Bowl parties suck ass.

I actually get Justin's point. I was at a Super Bowl party. There was one dickhead there who made comments that were just pissing me off--not that he was a Patriots fan, but that his knowledge of football was so bad that he made ME look like Vince Lombardi.

. Yea every time I wanted to see a play or replay the wife is cackling & I missed the play. Seems like everyone is a football head when its the super bowl. I liked the dancing lizards & The Justin Timberlake ads. The puking baby one was gross. But all & all a great time was had by all & lots of left overs

But Super Bowl parties suck ass. even though i HATE both teams, my gut told me this game was going to be phenomenal. im so happy with my choice to sit home and watch every single play with commentary from the comforts of home with no one to bother me about anything. im very happy with my choice as that was football at its finest.

I watched at a friend's house with about 30 people, but I was smart enough to get there early and get one of the seats right near the TV, so I could block out everyone else's malarky and focus on the game.

Did people try to hone in on your spot whenever you ambled up to get another beer, or venture off to pee?

My brother-in-law and father-in-law, avid Kings fans, are in town for the Kings three games against the Islanders, Devils, and Rangers.
They watched the game at BB Kings Restaurant last night and said the place was going ape shit!

No one tried to steal my seat, which was surprising considering how many times I got up to refill or dispose of Sam Adams Winter Lager.
