A few things--you will see some discrepancies between what Yahoo says in the points change column v. what I'm posting. There are a couple of reasons for that. First, for whatever reason, Yahoo only posts fractional points in the full standings section, so daily changes will never reflect that.
Also there were a bunch of people who had players in that Milwaukee/Florida game last week. Yahoo adjusted the points, but they weren't reflected in the standings until yesterday, so it was decided that they would be made part of session 2. Obviously, they're in the overall standings as well.
Congratulations to Milton and Neil for starting the session in negative land.
Suzy has moved into first place with another great night from her team.
Laura is proving to be the league's biggest risk taker. With the number one overall pick, she took Albert Pujols. Not one for taking any shit, Laura benched Pujols for 2 weeks now for lack of performing. Hoping to get back in the lineup, Pujols hit 2 HR yesterday, and adding 15 points to his seasonal total.
With managing like this, I'm sure Laura will be out of 11th place in no time.
Suzy--82 Capone--45 Larry--35.33 Tom--35 Knoblauch--34.33 Pops--31 Laura--26 Justin--20 Evan--20 Jose--12 Neil--7 Milton-- -3.67

Incidentally, unlike on the other board, when you modify the overall standings, it doesn't automatically go to the top and tell you I did. Usually if the session standings are modified, the overall standings are also modified.
Milton had a nice night last night. 3 starts, 3 wins, and 92 points overall. Of course, that means he won't be getting many points the rest of the week, but wins are wins. Too bad he had a negative point night the day before. I don't remember any time someone had a 92 point night in the first 2 days, and still didn't have the lead in the session. But negative points can do that. Meanwhile, Pops has reclaimed first place. Larry and Tom have renewed their rivalry as Larry is trying to push Tom into 4th.
Laura, who benched Albert Pujols for the second straight week, has fallen back into last place.
For fun, let's play a game I call, "Did Laura make the right move?" Here's how it works--Albert Pujols, the number one overall draft pick, is on the bench. In his place, we have Michael Cuddyer at 1B, OR Juan Uribe at the utility. These are the two spots Pujols COULD have started. If over the course of the week, Pujols gets more points than either of his two competitors, Laura did NOT make the right move. If not, then yes, Laura made the right move, and those who are badmouthing her can politely suck an egg.
I'm going to assume that because Pujols is indeed off to a lousy start, Laura did make the right move last week and is 1-0 in this game. Here are your week 2 results so far (through Monday's games):
Pujols--16 points. Cuddyer-- 1 point Uribe-- 0 points
So far, it looks like Laura made the wrong move. But the results are largely due to Pujols having one incredible day, and Cuddyer and Uribe having a day off yesterday. A good or bad night could change things. Did Laura make a mistake by benching Albert Pujols, or will Pujols shit the bed causing Laura to invite you all to suck her dick?
We'll revisit this tomorrow. As for the session 2 standings:
Suzy--95 Milton--88.33 Capone--80 Pops--73.33 Justin--62.67 Tom--52 Knoblauch--48.33 Larry--46.33 Evan--39 Laura--35 Jose--34 Neil--23

Well I benched Frank Thomas hitting a big 200 for Chris Duncan hitting 385 . Laura is managing her team . Now at this point Thomas is no Pujols . Pujols is off to a slow start now . But when he wakes up look out .

When I see Albert Pujols, I'll put him in my lineup. I thought I saw him on Sunday, but since then he's gone 0 for 7. He's batting .160 & and that's a big improvement over last week!

Pujols had 1 point last night. Cuddyer had 7 points. Uribe 0. So for those playing at home the score is:
Pujols--17 Cuddyer--8 Uribe--0
As of now, Laura did NOT make the right move.
As for the rest of the session, the rivalry between Tom and Larry is heating up. Larry is doing everything he can to unseat Tom from third place, but Tom will not give it up. The two have been deadlocked within about 10 points of each other in the overalls since the start of the session, and have been matching each other point for point. Larry's 52 point night last night was all but matched by Tom's 49 points. The two are even within 3 points of each other in the session.
Meanwhile, check out Capone's team. Capone is very under the radar in this league, and is quietly sneaking up in the standings. There are those that believe that Capone is actually paying attention this year, and if so, he could be returning to the form that got him second place a few years back. He is just one point behind Suzy, our session leader.
And a shout out to Neil, who enjoyed 19 hitting points wiped out by a -19 Jake Westbrook performance. 2 1/2 weeks into the season, and Suzy is kicking his ass in the race for rookie of the year.
Suzy--128 Capone--127 Pops--116.33 Justin--111.67 Milton--108.33 Tom--101 Larry--98.33 Evan--95 Jose--87.67 Laura--82 Knoblauch--78.33 Neil--23

John does bring up an interesting point, but I would have to say yes. When Woodrow Wilson had a stroke in office, many say his wife ran the country. She does not get credit as the first female president though.

Staying with the historical analogies. Looking @ the Overall Standings I. can't help but think Justin must be humming the same tune that Cornwallis played @ Yorktown ...... the world turned upside down . LOL

Wow What a night Félix Hernández goes 1/3 inning& gets a -6 so far for the Wolfetones . John Lackey proves to be a Lackey getting the Low soft ones a big goose egg . But best of all is Laura Showing why she is in Last place . with Pujols & Mr. NO NO Mark Buehrle on her bench along with his 52 points tonight It really is "The World turned upside Down" .

Congratulations to Laura for having Mark Buehrle on her bench after throwing a no hitter, costing herself 52. Congratulations to Pops for miraculously spelling Buehrle correctly.
What's amazing is that this happened during the week of "Did Laura Make The Right Move?"
The good news for Laura is that even after all these years, Yahoo does not have a stat category for no hitters and perfect games, saving her further humiliation.
Another story last night was Larry, finally breaking his stalemate with Tom and leapfrogging over the one armed sheriff. But shed no tears for Tom, who had 50 points of his own, and combined with Suzy's 3 point misery, stayed in third, as Suzy fell from second to fourth and Larry claimed the #2 spot. Larry is actually just 3 points out of first right now.
As the overwhelming preseason favorite, will this be the time where Larry makes his move?
Finally, the "Did Laura Make The Right Move" update:
Pujols had a HR and 2 singles last night, scoring 9 points. Cuddyer, to his credit had a 4 point night. Meanwhile, Uribe put up yet another donut bringing his weekly point total to zero.
Pujols--26 points Cuddyer--12 points Uribe--0 points
And now to the session standings:
Larry--196.67 Capone--162 Tom--151 Pops--149 Milton--146.33 Justin--139.67 Suzy--131.33 Evan--122 Jose--105 Laura--103.33 Knoblauch--96.33 Neil--62.33
It should be noted that if Buehrle and Pujols were in Laura's lineup, she would have 181.33 points this session. But she doesn't, so she doesn't.

get ready boys. my run is starting. when i wiped this league like toilet paper on a dirty, stinky asshole in 2005, i didnt claim first place until may. then i held and opened the lead slowly and consistently throughout the dawg days of summer. i may start the run earlier, to further humiliate you scrubs this time around. bye bye tom. enough of dancing around 3rd place with the likes of you!

Juan Uribe, Laura's utility guy, put up yet another donut last night which doubles his tally for the week to 0 points.
It's not like he's on the bench either.
Pujols also had a zero, and Cuddyer put up 5, making the total for the week:
Pujols--26 Cuddyer--17 Uribe--0
With two days of stats to go, Uribe has a lot of work to do to make up those 26 points. It's starting to look more and more like Laura did NOT make the right move.
Back to the session.
Larry entered last night 3 points behind Pops. He starts the day 3 points behind Pops. The two teams battled it out and scored the exact same number of points. Larry, the preseason favorite, had a similar run when he was trying to overtake Tom earlier this week. Is Larry toying with Pops, or is Pops going to continue to say "not today son."
Meanwhile, not content to be in 4th, Suzy's team leapfrogged over Tom (no easy task) and into third place, thanks largely to the pitching efforts of Rich Hill. Tom's team only managed 10 points, due in large part to over half his lineup having the night off.
Because of Pujols' bad night, Laura's lost point total for the session remains at 78, thanks mostly to Buehrle's no hitter. If Laura had those points, she would be in second place in the session, just 15 points behind Session leader Larry.
If Woody had gone straight to the police, none of this would have ever happened.
Larry--232.67 Suzy--207 Capone--194 Milton--188.33 Pops--185 Tom--161 Jose--155 Justin--152.33 Laura--139 Knoblauch--138.33 Neil--110.33 Evan--144.33

Good for you, Larry, but if you did not have A-Rod you would be slinking around in the middle of the pack. One guy out of the 25 you show every week has 15% of your points on the season. You're not exactly showing consistency top to bottom. Just luck, in getting A-Rod.

tom. i partially agree with you. 2 other men are keeping my team together, chris ray and bob wickman as well as arod. but ive got the pieces on this team. i dont see konerko, dye, glaus and wells to continue to struggle as they have. it WILL come together. but arod has been phenomenal. but remember tj, arod used to hit 50-140 consistently. he might actually better that this year in this lineup. he might just be back. and if he is, its gonna be a long year for everyone.

Well 17 more pt's 4 ARod . One can pose the question that With the number one overall pick Laura May have not made the best use of her pick by going with Pujols instead of ARod

No doubt. This was I think the first time since 2003 that ARod was not the number one pick. But you can't knock Laura for going with Pujols. The ONLY real reason to take ARod over Pujols, other than personal preference, is positioning. The gap between Pujols and the next batch of 1Bs is smaller than the gap between ARod and the other 3Bs. 1B is a deeper position.
But you really can't blame Laura for passing on ARod at the time, and for who she got. It's not like she picked Chris Carpenter.

We have a nice fight for first between 3 teams. Suzy, Larry, and Pops are separated by just 10.33 points. Not bad. Tom is lurking like a bum in a restaurant window, on the cusp of being back in the top 3, a mere 70 points away.
Neil actually made somewhat of a comeback this weekend, as his team finally showed up.
Capone has been consistent as well, flying under the radar but in a position to make a move should his team decide to get hot.
Decent session race as well, with several teams in contention to take it away from Larry. Plenty of time left.
Larry--377.33 Suzy--365 Capone--333 Pops--322.67 Milton--321.33 Justin--309 Tom--299 Knoblauch--297 Laura--288.33 Evan--284.67 Neil--268 Jose--246.67
