Big night for Sheriff Tom, who finished in second in 2005. Thanks to the brilliant pitching of Dustin McGowan, whose one hitter netted 50 points by himself, Tom enjoyed a 101 point start to the session.
Preseason favorite Larry is still in second place, gaining 23 points on Suzy. Too bad for him she's still up by 700.

Nothing really special happened last night. Knoblauch managed to score the most points with 57, and Capone gets the booby prize with just 11 points. But with several teams off, and the fact that it's early in the session, shit happens. Tom, who finished in second place back in 2005, failed to capitalize on his big 101 point night, only scoring 18.

Not much to add about this session other than it's pretty close from all sides. Tom is still in the lead, but 101 of his points came from that great first night, so that lead is fading fast.
Tom--139.33 Justin--132.67 Pops--124 Jose--123.67 Suzy--122.33 Knoblauch--121.33 Evan--116.67 Larry--108.33 Capone--86.33 Milton--83 Neil--75 Laura--75

I hear you about Pettitte. I hate hard luck pitchers, especially when they're Yankees. Pettitte should have at least 5-7 more wins.

Still a tight session, and Tom is still holding his lead by the slimmest of margins. It's not easy to talk about Tom and use the word "slimmest" in the same sentence.
Too bad the race for first is almost as over as the AL East. The middle of the pack teams are going back and forth.

It's been a quiet session so far, aside from Tom's first night. Everybody is hanging with Tom, but no one seems to want to pass him. The 2005 runner up is holding on to first place as the season hits the halfway point.
The only real note is that for now at least, Suzy has come back to Earth, and even had a bad night last night. Of course, it would take a lot more nights like that to knock Suzy off the top of the mountain.
Tom--228.33 Capone--202.33 Justin--198.67 Jose--190.67 Larry--190 Pops--182 Knoblauch--176.33 Milton--163.67 Evan--160.67 Suzy--157 Laura--129 Neil--126

This session is shaping up to be pretty close. 4 teams are within 30 points of each other. The current leader, by some miracle, is Knoblauch of all people. KNOBLAUCH! Could Albert Pujols spark his team to victory? I doubt it.
No way he keeps this up, especially now that his ace Dan Haren has been banished to Lauraland.
Good news and bad news for heavy preseason favorite Larry. The good news is that he trails Knoblauch by a nose. The bad news is that in Larry's case, that puts him at the bottom of the session standings, currently in 10th place and fighting to stay out of last.
Justin is just 20 points out, and Tom is right on Justin's heels with Jose less than 33 points off Knoblauch's pace.
Knoblauch--356.67 Justin--336.67 Tom--332.67 Jose--324.33 Pops--305.67 Neil--288.33 Suzy--286.33 Capone--284 Evan--277 Larry--271.33 Laura--264 Milton--235.67

Take a look at the standings, because the current leader of this session is still Knoblauch of all people. KNOBLAUCH! Still, with all this time left in the session, I doubt he will hang on. Jose is within 3 points, and well, he's Knoblauch. Then again, Knoblauch usually finds a way to win one session a year. Could this be his session? Nah.
Knoblauch--390 Jose--387.33 Justin--369.67 Tom--358.67 Pops--337.67 Suzy--325.33 Larry--310.67 Laura--306.33 Capone--300 Neil--295.33 Evan--287 Milton--247.33

So check it out. Suzy has definitely come back to earth as her team seems to be more in line with the rest of the league. And despite having a super small lead, the currently leader in Session 7 is Knoblauch of all people. Knoblauch! He still is managing to lead this thing by 6 points.
Jose is on his heels, and Justin is right behind them. Tom, who finished in second in 2005, is also within striking distance.
A little bit of props to Milton for digging himself out of last with 2 solid nights. And to Neil for following up his session win by being in last.
Knoblauch--488.33 Jose--482.33 Justin--477.67 Tom--466.67 Pops--439.33 Suzy--415.33 Larry--373.67 Capone--372 Evan--369 Laura--367.67 Milton--351.67 Neil--350.33

It's been a fairly low scoring session, but several people still have a shot. As expected, Knoblauch has been swallowed up by the pack, as his team managed just 2 points last night. Jose has taken the lead, Justin is in second, and Knoblauch has slipped to third. Neil had a very good night last night, though he would probably need another 2 nights just like it to steal the session.
Neil drafted Igawa ahead of Wang by the way.
Jose--515.33 Justin--494.67 Knoblauch--490.33 Tom--475.67 Pops--469.33 Capone--434 Neil--431.33 Larry--429 Milton--421.67 Suzy--416.33 Evan--400.67 Laura--384.67

I did draft him ahead of Wang however, Larry picked him up and is smart enough to let that prick ride the bench!

I think Larry picking him up during the season is actually worse than Neil taking a flyer on him before the season started, actually.

In what I would consider somewhat of a surprise, Igawa actually has positive points on the year with 22. Obviously, that's atrocious given that most pitchers get that many points whenever they win one start, but I really thought he'd be in negative land.

Jose kicked ass in the last couple of days to take the session, and while the defending champ winning his first session is nice, the real story is actually going on at the bottom of the standings. After being as much as 200 points out of 11th at one point, Laura is now within 30 points of Evan.
Larry, the heavy preseason favorite, gained 100 points on Suzy over the last 2 weeks. Could there be a standings shakeup after the all star break?
We shall see.
