To give an idea of how big of a lead Suzy had, Larry had a hell of a good session last go around. He scored 524 points, which factoring in the all star break, is good.
Second place Larry still doesn't have the number of points that Suzy had 2 weeks ago.
But good news for the big nosed one is that he is now 400.33 points behind. Still a HUGE lead, but a dwindling one.
He only gained a few points on Suzy yesterday, but he still gained.
Meanwhile, Jose is leading the new session, and Justin is on his tail, hoping to prove that last session's dismal performance was a fluke.
And as for Laura, after pulling within about 20 points of Evan, her team is now close to 200 points out of 11th again. Hopefully she'll start working on her 2009 draft soon.
Jose--69 Justin--66 Larry--56 Evan--55 Suzy--48 Tom--45 Knoblauch--39 Neil--29 Milton--28 Capone--24 Laura--20 Pops--15

It wasn't a fluke. My team sucks.
Roy Halladay with a 44-point shutout, and the reliable James Shields gives half of it right back.

Not too much to really talk about at this point. Fairly close session all around. Larry gained another 11 points on Suzy. That's about the only news of note.
Justin--98.67 Jose--96 Larry--95 Tom--92.66 Evan--92 Knoblauch--81 Suzy--76 Neil--67 Laura--61 Capone--51.67 Milton--41.33 Pops--37

So Larry had another good night last night. He gained another 27 points on Suzy, cutting her lead to a little over 360 points. The lead was once at 700 points. Still a HUGE lead, but not as huge. Larry, the preseason favorite, is also leading the session.
Evan's resurgence has also continued. For the first time in a LONG time, he is out of 11th place. Capone now has taken the spot directly on top of Laura, though there is still a comfortable buffer between the two of them.
Also deserving mention is Tom, who finished second in 2005 and is celebrating his 40th birthday today. Tom is very much in the hunt for the session prize after 3 days.
Larry--171.67 Evan--159.33 Tom--154 Jose--146 Justin--128.67 Suzy--126 Neil--115 Knoblauch--113.33 Pops--97 Laura--94.33 Capone--81.67 Milton--79.33

Interesting night last night. For the second night in a row, Larry gained 27 points on Suzy, who had a solid night herself with 40 points.
Suzy's lead is now 335.67 points. Again, that's a very good week's worth of points. But it is making things somewhat exciting.
Larry also is leading in the session still. Capone had a very good night himself, and though he's not currently contending for the session, he DID move back into 10th.
Knoblauch got 1 point last night. Good job Knoblauch!
Larry--238.67 Evan--190.33 Tom--175.67 Jose--174 Suzy--166 Justin--152.33 Capone--143.33 Laura--138.33 Milton--126 Neil--117.67 Knoblauch--114.33 Pops--106

Not a major night, though Larry cooled off a bit. He actually lost a little ground on Suzy. Neil, who actually drafted Igawa, and did so ahead of Wang, lost 1/3 of a point for the old negative night.
Milton had the best night with 69 points.
Larry--247.67 Jose--210 Tom--204.33 Evan--200.33 Milton--195 Suzy--189 Capone--186.33 Justin--183.33 Laura--163.33 Knoblauch--152.33 Pops--133.67 Neil--117.33

I'm guessing that things go a little better for your team when you don't have to take a hiatus for about 10 days mid-season... I am back online, now, though... took 10 minutes to fix my lineup last night (which resulted in a 90 minute fight) and I refuse to go down without I fight! (You can just barely hear the Rocky theme in the background, can't you?)

So Larry is still leading the session, though not by much. Knoblauch had an incredible night last night, with 112 points. Larry's gains on Suzy have slowed a bit, but he has still shaved 65 points off her lead over the past week. Suzy's lead is now only 344 points.
Meanwhile, I have to take my hat off to Neil right now. He is having a session for the ages. One week in, and he only has 169 points. Capone is having the second worst session, and he's at 240.67. That's a pretty big spread. Neil got a whopping 1 point last night, which goes with his -.33 night last week. Hard to believe something like that could happen to a man who was smart enough to choose Igawa over Wang.
Larry--394.33 Jose--386.67 Knoblauch--374.67 Justin--341.67 Suzy--329.33 Evan--317.33 Milton--285 Tom--281.67 Laura--264 Pops--243.67 Capone--240.67 Neil--169

I cant seem to catch a break... had decent hitting last night but followed up by a terrible outing by Bonderman.
Remember what the old folks say.... "You can't keep a good man down"

I didn't realize what Tom was asking. Yeah, it was - 1/3 of a point. A negative 33 point night would have to be immortalized.

Quiet night last night. No major changes in the session standings, though get this--after all this time, and with our scoring system, Tom, who finished second in 2005, and Pops are tied. Meanwhile, Evan and Capone are just 1/3 of a point apart.
Larry--404.33 Jose--385.67 Knoblauch--383.67 Suzy--364.33 Justin--353.67 Evan--320.33 Tom--302.67 Milton--292 Laura--272 Capone--252.67 Pops--252.67 Neil--205

Once again, I would like to turn your attention to Neil's lousy session. We're in the final few days of this one, and the man who drafted Igawa has just 222 points. Important to note is that Laura has now pulled within 200 points of Neil. She's made threats to get out of the cellar before, but could the man who confused Yankee Asians be the first relegated rookie?
Meanwhile, Larry's session lead is holding steady. He gained a few points on Suzy last night, though she is starting to pick up the pace again. Larry is going to need Suzy to have a couple more bad sessions if he is going to pull off the miracle.
Larry--469.33 Knoblauch--425.67 Suzy--415.67 Jose--411.67 Justin--380.33 Evan--378.33 Tom--351.33 Capone--336.67 Laura--321 Milton--314.67 Pops--282.67 Neil--222

If you want to preserve Igawa, I would recommend asking each member of the league. If they are nice, they will let you keep him, on the promise that you draft him in the first round.

Uh, the way things are going Neil may not be around for next years draft. This is a shoddy session for the ages. There are people who nail down his entire session score in a weekend.

congrats to the best of both worlds for losing both closers in a week for the second time this year (the first time they both got injured), now they both get traded and will be set up man..... I don't know if I'm going to be able to win this session with shit like this happening ......

Congratulations to Neil for not having a bad night. With 49 points, Neil is working his way up to having a shitty session. He drafted Igawa by the way.
Meanwhile, preseason favorite Larry is putting together a fine session, consistently doing well. Unfortunately for him though, Suzy's team seems to be coming out of its funk, and she's keeping pace again.
Larry--501.33 Jose--465.67 Suzy--465 Knoblauch--440 Tom--437.33 Evan--410.67 Justin--404.67 Laura--368 Milton--367.67 Capone--364.67 Pops--348.67 Neil--271

Final update and we have some good news and bad news for preseason favorite Larry. The bad news is that Suzy seems to have come out of her funk, and is starting to gain ground on the pack again. The good news is he's still winning the session, though Suzy is within striking distance of that now. Could she steal the session? Stay tuned on Sunday!!!
Larry--561.33 Suzy--544.33 Jose--479.33 Knoblauch--475 Evan--453.67 Justin--424.34 Milton--422.67 Tom--413.33 Capone--402 Laura--382 Neil--322.67

Larry takes the session!!!
By winning this session, Larry ties Knoblauch for the all time lead in number of sessions won with 9. He also ties Knoblauch for second place on the all time "gross dollars won" list. He accomplishes this task in 2 fewer years though.
