Could he be the first original member relegated? I thought that was me?

Actually, Grover is right. I'll amend that statement to say "first original member that has been here every year."

Justin is off to a MISERABLE start. The only 2 time champ is not only in last place, but he's now 220 points behind Capone--in less than a week. Of course, fortunes turn around. Capone deserves some congratulations for finally getting his roster up to 25. Only about 4 weeks behind the rest of the class.
Capone does not have the session locked up by any means. Just 40 points back and on Capone's heels is history. Walkman John--the first person ever booted from the league because he sucked at fantasy baseball, a man who has never finished higher than 10th, the biggest fantasy bust in the history of this league, the only active member in this league who has NEVER won even a session (and one of just 3 all time), is in contention. Walkman John, who works for Elias and has more stat info than anyone, but still got spanked, is on the verge of showing that his time off was well spent. Standing in John's way is Capone. But there is plenty of time for things to change.

Yeah, it's best that I don't participate. I suck at it, and why waste a spot making picks that turn out bad when my spot can be given to a person who will make bad picks form the start and provide comedy for the draft?

Relatively quiet fantasy night last night. Larry is the only one who had a decent night, and by doing so, he has put Justin nearly 100 points out of 11th place, in less than 2 weeks. Ponderous.

Why is everyone so surprised? He has been a bottom feeder the last couple of years. He dominated before everyone figured out how to play this game, and now he seems to be overmatched.

Damn Justin. I have better teams using the Yahoo auto pick system. But you picked Paul Byrd , Adam Wainwright & Jon Garland for your staff ? To bad J.J, is on the d.l. but Mark Lowe Blows, low & high LOL . What's up with Kenji Johjima hitting .80 ? Damn time to go shopping ? OH & Tom I hope the Yankees Grill Greinke tonight.

I hate these Yankee / High Hard One matchups. But I have no control regardless, so its not going to change my decison-making process. Besides, if I had money on the line - and I do, I would put Greinke in against the Yankees. The Yankees are in an offensive funk, Greinke is the kind of young gun who gives them fits, and the Yankees will probably look stupid tonight.
But, if they turn it around and beat him up, at least the Yankees win.

some franchises in this league are all talk. high hard ones. teh. so what. they are off to a good start 9 days into the season. your franchise isnt scaring ANYONE!!!
but the swinging dicks! bottom feeders??? please. we all know who the upper echilon(sp?) franchises are and who the bottom feeders are. and the swinging dicks are by no means a bottom feeder.
dont forget folks, the swinging dicks have moved their operations from pittsburgh to chicago this offseason and as with any major move it will take a short time to adjust. i certainly wont underestimate the power of the swinging dicks.

Larry, cut your garbage. Its old after all these years.
In the last 3 years I have a 2nd and a 3rd to my credit. Justin has finished NINTH the last two years. The numbers are not lying here.
So yeah, I stand by it. Bottom feeder. Justin has not done crap in this league for years. Its not 2004 anymore.
Oh, and as to this move...Suzy has had some relocations as well.. Where did she finish again? I dont want to hear that excuse. This is not a daily league. It does not take that much prep if you know what you are doing. I have a lot going on in my life too.

The session's end is drawing near, and Capone, is still on top of the heap. Jose and John still have a reasonable shot at catching him, while Tom has no chance. Justin is getting destroyed in session 1, but he has been in last place before. As we all know, Justin knows what he's doing, as he has won the league twice. He's gone from last to first before, so never count out the Swinging Dicks.

I wouldn't count anyone out ever in this league. We got rid of one person that made me smile, now I am rooting for one or two to finish last themselves and they are not Justin.
PS Greinke DID in fact make the Yankees "look stupid" last night, especially that dolt Abreu

Ah, just in time. I was waiting for you to come in and stick up for him.
What was his excuse last year, and the year before, when he finished 9th?
Hey, we moved in March, 2003, and had a baby in Feb, 2002. Both happened just before drafting / playing. So there are my excuses for whatever I did back then. Thanks!
Oh, by the way, going forward, can we make this a "No Excuses" league? Half the league did not pick up a magazine or run a printout till the night before the draft, pretty much. No one else is waving excuse flags. You either know how to do this, or you dont. Going from the last few years, when this league became more competitive, we are starting to seperate the wheat from the chaff.

Barring a collosal choke, it looks like Capone has got this session locked up. Nice to see someone who hasn't done squat in this league in awhile, take a session. But this means that the Bureau will have to spend at least another 2 weeks as the only team in the league to not win a session ever. In the history of the league, only 3 people have spent 2 years in the league and never won a session--Kwik, John & Steve. Up until now, the Terrific Trio each had 26 sessions in their history--two full seasons. By losing this session, John distinguishes himself as the first person to not win a session in 27 tries to start a career. Grover has the overall consecutive session losing streak, but he did win one in 2002. I'll have to check what the exact record is and see if it's attainable this year. Grover is a session losing legend though, and John needs to focus if he is going to catch him.
Meanwhile, with all the badmouthing of Justin, which I find surprising given that he is expected to pick his team up, Milton has fallen into 11th place.

Milton is too busy whining about not being able to do "daily lineup changes" to bother figuring out a good weekly lineup. Then again, looking at his team I dont think Miller Huggins could put together a good weekly lineup with it.
