Well, the day one overall standings are in, and Larry has taken the lead. It should be smooth sailing for Larry from here on out. The league is over. Check out Evan with a -3.67 overall total. Notice that Evan is in 13th place in a league with 12 teams.
It should be noted that it should be -6.67. There is a problem with the blown save category. I currently have a message to Yahoo to figure it out.

Hopefully they get back to you and fix it . If its something that can not be fixed, we will need to scrap the idea, and Evan will be the first of many to get away with one.

True. What pisses me off is that had I known what was going to happen, it wouldn't have been that hard to fix. I would have dumped the no hitter category, and added blown save so that blown save comes ahead of no hitter in the listing. If Yahoo can't fix this, then yeah, people get an unexpected benefit and hopefully this didn't affect too many drafts. I doubt it did though.
Knoblauch did far more to cause closers to be drafted than the new blown save rule.
If Yahoo can't fix it, I will look into tracking it manually, but I don't even know if that's realistic. It probably isn't.

Sigh. OF COURSE you should have put it ahead of no-hitters, just in case. That may come into play once this year. This is a bummer. How did this happen? Is there a cap on the categories you can have? If so, how many do we show?
No manual tracking, under any circumstances. I dont want to go down that road and leave this up to our own math. If it cant be fixed, kill it. Please have this decided one way or another by Opening Day.

Yes, there is a cap, at 15 categories. We are at 15 categories. I know the cap is at 15 because when I set the league up, I had 16 categories which is why we had to dump the perfect game and raised no hitters to 25 points.
I had no reason to order the blown save because there was no reason to believe that anything would be wrong. If Yahoo accepted the category, then it accepted the category. If you look at our transactions history, you will see that the blown save WAS added. It was never deleted, and Yahoo never gave any indication it wouldn't be allowed. Not only that, it's not like I consciously picked to have blown save last.
AND, if you click on an individual team, blown save is there. I am hoping that since this is a Yahoo fuckup, Yahoo can fix it.
It's the start of the season, and it's obviously a glitch.
I consider the blown save a fairly important category--certainly more important than the balk or the no hitter.
And I looked into it, for similar reasons, I can't really do it manually anyway. I might be able to track blown saves through the system, but I won't be able to track if that guy was in your lineup when the save was blown, which makes manual tracking useless.

I got an email back from Yahoo, and they told me that the problem with the blown save category was resolved. However, when I actually checked, it was not. It's kind of hard to resolve an issue when you don't do anything about it.
That said, the nature of that e-mail seems to indicate that it CAN be resolved. Right now, Evan is not in last place, thanks to Pops and Jon Lester. But in reality, if you factor in that blown save, Evan SHOULD be in last place.
Hopefully Yahoo will remove their heads from their asses and get this straightened out. But for now, at least you all get the joy of seeing not one BUT two people with an overall negative score until at least Sunday. Pops now has the honor of being in 13th place in a league with 12 teams.

VICTORY!!!!!! It took 3 days of emailing Yahoo, and multiple attempts at setting this right but Evan has lost those three points!!! The blown save category is back where it belongs, and Yahoo has corrected their error. And thanks to these efforts, Evan has taken his rightful place in last place. Justice has been served.

Jose's early lead is holding up. Could he be on his way to winning his second title in 3 years? Opening Day was kind to Capone, even if he does have a controversial pitcher like Doug Davis on his team. When asked about it, Capone said, "sure, Davis has a reputation of being a cancer in the clubhouse, but he's a gamer, and it's all about winning."
Meanwhile, check out Knoblauch in last place. He owes that to Tom Gordon's stellar -14 point domination.

Well I got lucky that Jeff Francis -8 was a wash out. nether Zambrano nor Sheets got a L but nether got a Win either.netting the Wolfetones 30 pt's Lyon got the save & 10 pt's for my bench. Russell Martin ran his way in to a -1 good job, dick !!! I put the clam in for Cueto as I am on the road most of the time & don't get on line for a day or two at a time. But rules b rules. so now someone ells is going to grab Johnny Cueto be 4 me. Thanks

Check out Capone on the top of the standings. He accomplishes this task with just 23 men on the roster, and of those 23 men, 2 are injured. And check out Larry at the bottom. The big reason he is there is his pitching has been terrible so far. Larry's team has just one HR, but three hit batsmen. No other team has more than one. Way to draft a dirty team.

Check out Jose--trying to prove that his fast start wasn't because of some decent scheduling--still on top.
Meanwhile, Neil, fresh off the birth of his first child, has taken his predicted position at the bottom. Could this be the start of his farewell tour?
Larry took a lot of gambles at the draft with his rotation. So far, they are not paying off as Liriano is in the minors, and Pedro is dead. It's April 3. It's over.
But Larry's rotation looks stellar compared to Capone's. 2 starters are on the DL. One of them possibly has a career ending injury. Another starter, Doug Davis, who is NOT on the DL yet, has thyroid cancer.
Watch out for Suzy, sneaking up in the standings...

Well, you wont find out from Balls cause he inexplicably "takes the weekends off" - but I have marched up to second place, with a heap of bullets in the gun. I sorta knew I would be having my way with most of this league, i was not sure it would happen so early, with my top 2 arms both on the shelf for the week, and in at least one case, beyond.
Get high, get hard!

Wolftones Manager Theobald held a closed door meeting after last night's - 10. The sound of braking glass & lots of yelling was heard from behind the doors. When the doors opened Theobald released a statement Remember The Maine!!!!! Well it Looks like it worked as the Wolftones Ben Sheets went out & pitched a complete game netting 48 pt's for the Wolftones.

Yahoo updated late. Capone is still on top though. Despite his injury woes, the man is competing for the session. So is Suzy, who looks to show 2007 was no fluke. Could we have a dynasty in the making?
And Justin, the only 2 time champion, is in the cellar. Could he be the first original member relegated? Pops is coming off possibly the best night of the young season.
Meanwhile, Tom is in 7th.
