Big start for Knoblauch in Session 2. 121 points, which may be the best night of the season. That's the good news. The bad news for Knoblauch is that well, he's Knoblauch, so given that this is just day one of the session, it seems inevitable that he will be caught. Again, he's Knoblauch.
It can't be overlooked that despite such an impressive night, Evan scored 96 and Milton got 87.
That said, it should also be noted that in just one day, Justin is now 106 points behind in the session 2 standings. That may be a record too.
Knoblauch--121 Evan--96 Milton--87 John--47 Neil--38 Pops--35 Jose--32 Suzy--26 Tom--24 Larry--22 Capone--20 Justin--15

Translated into Japanese, it's Jose, but I'll change it just to make you happy.

Check out Justin. I guess the more things change, the more things stay the same.

Justin definitely needs to be concerned about his standing. Obviously, there is plenty of time for things to turn around, but yeesh. I'll see if I can compare this to Laura's start last year. It was a slow night last night, with many teams having days off. Tom had the best night, with 57 points.
Knoblauch--150.67 Evan--132 Milton--108.33 Tom--81 Neil--69 John--60.67 Pops--52.33 Jose--44.67 Larry--42.33 Suzy--40.33 Capone--28 Justin--27

So Tom had a terrible night, with a -1. Not a good day for the preseason favorite. Capone is maintaining his remarkable run, pacing the league with 82 points last night. Knoblauch still leads the session, but that won't last too much longer at this rate. He's not even up 13 points anymore and has lost a little ground daily. Evan and Milton are looking strong, but this is shaping up to be a pretty good session.
Knoblauch--175.67 Evan--163 Milton--150.33 Pops--120.67 Neil--114 Capone--110 Larry--88.33 Suzy--87.67 Tom--79.67 Justin--75 John--74.67 Jose--50.67

Capone is still maintaining his lead at the top of the standings, but Pops is making a run of his own. Milton is rebounding nicely from a poor start, and Knoblauch of all people is still leading the session overall.
Knoblauch--206.33 Evan--205 Pops--200 Capone--171 Neil--157 Tom--134.67 Larry---115.33 John--106.67 Justin--103.33 Suzy--99.67 Jose--99

Justin is back in last place. Wow. He's now 150 points out of ELEVENTH. He is once again in last place in the session. I don't know what to say when 2 out of the 3 remaining originals are in the bottom 2.
Pops meanwhile has taken the session lead. Unlike Evan and Knoblauch, Pops has not had one super duper night. He's just consistently done well. But there is plenty of time left.
Pops--252 Knoblauch--240.67 Milton--233.33 Evan--230 Capone--226 Larry--193.67 Neil--181 Tom--169.67 Jose--146 John--140.67 Suzy--136.67 Justin--123.33

Thats not the first time he did that to you, and the season is still early. Something must be going on behind the scenes. Get him, John.

Nothing goes on in this league that Tom doesn't know about. Tom could be conspiring. It's in his nature.

Hopefuly John can get an answer face to face the next time they cross paths at the Stadium. It seems to be an open challenge for friction to me. You know Balls is doing it on purpose to get a stir.

This is the 7th year of this league. There have been 5 different people who have won it all, with Justin having won it twice. Larry, Suzy and Justin have combined to win 4 out of the 6 championships. Larry, Suzy and Justin are now the bottom three in the overall standings. Suzy is having a dismal session--so bad that Justin is now within 100 points of 11th for the first time in awhile.
But the session is looking very interesting. There is no way to pick a winner at this time. Tom of course isn't going to win, but right now, Evan, Knoblauch, Pops, Capone, and Milton all have a legit shot as they are separated by less than 25 points. Larry is about 60 points off the pace, which of course in his case, puts him behind by a nose.
Evan--356 Knoblauch-348 Pops--344.33 Capone--338.67 Milton--333.33 Larry--295.67 Jose--276.33 John--270.33 Justin--257.67 Tom--252 Neil--237 Suzy--192.33

Still a very good session, as last night didn't have TOO many good nights. Off days can do that. But a few people, like Suzy, Justin & Jose, had decent nights. Justin really needed that. He didn't make up any ground on Suzy, but he did get a little closer to the pack.
The top of the session still looks like a potential photo finish. Not the closest session we've ever had, but Pops and Evan are neck and neck, and Capone and Knoblauch are on their heels. Milton has fallen back a bit.
I don't think anyone has ever started the season winning back to back sessions.
Capone has a shot.
Meanwhile, the top three teams in the overalls have been consistent. Capone remains on top, and Pops and John have flipped. Evan and preseason favorite Tom are making a run though.
Pops--386.67 Evan--378 Knoblauch--371.33 Capone--366.67 Milton--335.33 Jose--328.33 Larry--314.67 Justin--307.67 Tom--292 John--289.33 Neil--271 Suzy--250.33

Neil had the best night last night, and Pops is now making a serious run at Capone for the top spot. Pops and Capone have broken away a bit, with Pops about 100 points ahead of 3rd place John. At this point, the session is a 3 team race, though there is still enough time for a few other teams to make a run. Pops, Knoblauch, and Evan are separated by 16 points. Milton and Capone are about 50 points off the pace.
Pops--439.67 Knoblauch--428.33 Evan--424 Capone--393.67 Milton--390.33 Jose--369.33 Justin--365 Neil--341 Larry--335.67 John--324.33 Tom--317 Suzy--270.33

Can't believe I'm typing this, but of all people to be leading right now, it's Knoblauch. KNOBLAUCH! Both Knoblauch and Milton had very good nights, getting 70 and 86 points respectively.
In the overall standings, Knoblauch has moved into 3rd place, and 3rd through 8th place is getting crowded, especially 5th through 8th.
Session ends on Sunday.
Knoblauch--498.67 Milton--476.33 Pops--470.67 Evan--443.67 Capone--439.33 Jose--414.33 Justin--393 Neil--377 Larry--363.67 Tom--348 John--339.67 Suzy--303.33

Well, with a 98 point night, Knoblauch has distanced himself from the pack to the point where he has declared victory for session 2. According to Knoblauch, he has it locked up, and won't have to pay his next bill.
He's also taken a nice hold on 3rd place in the overalls.
Knoblauch--596.67 Pops--518.67 Milton--517 Evan--495.33 Jose--457.67 Capone--457.33 Justin--415 Neil--413 Tom--403.33 John--369.67 Larry--366 Suzy--334

And the final session numbers are in. The winner? KNOBLAUCH...
Knoblauch now takes sole possession of first place in the category of Career Sessions Won with 10.
Note that Justin has now moved to within a couple of points of getting out of the cellar.
