I don't.
Refresh my memory on when Javier Vazquez was with the Angels, please.

LOL I was in a rush and for some reason wrote the Angels, I meant Atlanta. Fuck off, I got more important things to do in my life than worrying about mixing up Atlanta and Anaheim.

Finally saw a reporter take him to task for being a fatass. Basically it was a tweet saying something like, "with all the other reporters regularly around this clubhouse, why am I the only one who sees how out of shape Joba is?"
That cant help.
Yeah, this guy needs a refresh. Time to go to the farm. Dont eat too many oats while you're down there!

I'll be curious to see what porcello does next year. This year he was great, even more so considering he can't buy beer. Next year, he'll likely be among those on The Verducci Effect list. Then we'll see if the Yankees babying Joba was wise, silly as it may have looked. Look at some of the guys from this year's list. Mike Pelfrey (awful) Cole hamels (very poor year for him) edinson Volquez (Tommy John) Chad Billingsly (great early, very bad late) Porcello, and his 6.14 ERA are headed to AAA. He brings with him his 33:22 K:BB ratio, Verducci, right again.

Well, at least he's not injured. But I'm glad we aren't hearing about how great he is, and how bad every Yankee is.
But that said, Joba has also been awful this year overall, and should head to AAA.

Can they send Joba down to AAA already?
I got grumpy yesterday afternoon listening to the game on the desktop radio, when Waldman mentioned when Joba got in, "he's had some shaky outings, but more good ones than bad this year." Really? Id spin that the other way around, actually.

The Yanks need to trade Joba NOW, he's still got some value and "upside" possibly. Use him in some type of deal to pry Soria away from KC! We need bullpen help and he's def not the answer for us!! He's lived off that 2007 reputation for too long, he needs to be held accountable for the NOW not the Past. I'm still amazed on how well we've been winning with so many question marks. I just hope we aren't setting ourselves up for a flop in the Post Season when are weaknessess can/will be exposed!

If the Yanks have their eyes on any pitching prior to the deadline, now that they completely flubbed Lee and Haren, it's gonna be Scott Downs and one other Jays reliever they've voiced interest in - can't remember his name.

How did they FLUB Lee, when Seattle agreed, and then reneged on a done deal?
And Haren sucks this year. Why bring in a guy who flat out sucks?

Haren doesn't suck. Dan Haren would INSTANTLY have been the second best pitcher on this team.
He's pitching for a crappy team, behind crappy defense, crappy hitting, and just plain old bad luck.
To say Dan Haren sucks, even this year, is not accurate.
The Yankees flubbed both deals because agreeing to the initial request that sent Joba would have secured either deal.

Yeah, Haren isn't the problem, the D'backs were......... He was pitching pretty damn good.

I love Soria, but I just can't see that happening. KC would want a boatload of talent, rightfully so. the guy is great, young and cheap. Plus, he a limited no trade, and the Yankees are on the no-trade list. That could just be posturing, forcing the Yankees to give him a big new contract in the event of a trade, but still, I highly doubt it

He was not pitching good at all. His hits per inning are way up. His WHIP--way up.
His ERA was 4.60. No one with a 4.60 ERA is pitching pretty damn well. Haren would NOT instantly be the second best pitcher on the Yankees. Not this year's version. The guy sucked in the NL. Stick him in the AL East, and he would pitch even worse.
Again, Seattle agreed to the deal, and reneged. THEY are the dicks here.
