A no-hitter deserves its own thread. History was made. Remember when that sort of thing used to happen around the Yankees?

Don't worry, under the leadership of the young pitching developer Joe Girardi, we may see a hitless inning from Hughes or Kennedy this year.

Way to be a Boston frontrunner Tom.

Boston or not, you gotta give the guy some credit. Two years removed from battling cancer and he throws a no-hitter.
And Buchholz threw one in his second major league start.
Facts are facts. These guys have done it on the big stage at a young age under similar pressure as Hughes and Kennedy.

Lester threw 130 pitches last night, and his last pitch, which struck out Albert Callaspo, rang in at 96 MPH.
With all this sick young pitching in Boston and Tampa, so glad to have these jackoffs in our division!

Jon Lester, when he was 22, had an ERA of 4.76, and only pitched 81.1 innings in the majors. The point is that he struggled at that age. When Hughes is 24 years old, it will be 2010. Let's see where he is then.

Lester has a World Series clinching win and a no-hitter to his name already. Have to give him props.

And he beat Cancer.
That's it. Bobby Murcer should fill out our rotation.

I still say Lester is a cancer in the clubhouse.

He only walked two. So basically, he only faced TU MOR batters than the minimum.

Yeah, thats it Balls, keep whistling past the proverbial graveyard. I mean, lets forget the part that he pretty much beat cancer. His prognosis is much better than Bobby Murcer's, to name one person. Oh, and his team is kicking our ass in the standings too. You sound like a petulant baby, and your "jokes" are not funny anyway.
Can you try and stay on the topic of BASEBALL sometime in the baseball threads? Just a thought...
