Has it really been 20 years?, there's an old saying that time heals all wounds, but this one is still as fresh as the day 20 years ago that I got the horrible news and I'm still mad. Mad that Bruiser Brody is gone and I can only enjoy him on old DVD's and not on live T.V. Mad that Barbara and Gregory Goodish had to live without a husband and a father. Mad that not one of those supposed "tough guy" wrestlers spoke for Bruiser at the trial. Mad that Carlos Colon lied on the stand to protect something as insignificant as "kayfabe". Mad that we as pro wrestling fans missed out on 20 years of Bruiser Brody mayhem. Last but not least I'm mad that Jose Gonzalez is walking the earth as a free man and he's considered a "hero" in his country, So Jose how does it feel to be the Mark David Chapman of pro wrestling, that your fame was gained not by doing something great, but by taking the life of someone that was better then you at everything he did. So Jose when your time comes and Dear God I hope that's soon, there's a special place in hell waiting for you. R.I.P. Frank Goodish aka Bruiser Brody

Bruiser Brody was the man. One of a couple of wrestlers who scared the crap out of me legit when I was a kid watching, along with Hansen, Killer Khan, and King Kong Mosca. Brody was also something of an enigma, this big bruiser who also was known to read voraciously and was smart enough to be a professor if he took that route.
Its a cold dash of reality that its been 20 years, time is sailing by. And yeah, the circumstances behind his stabbing and the aftermath are just disgusting. RIP indeed!

Bruiser Brody was one of my all time faves!!!!
I don't know why...I don't know if Brody had ties to punk bands or if the old school punk rock community just sort of adopted Brody as some kind of icon...but Brody was a big favorite amongst lots of SoCal punk rockers...some of the old Flipside Fanzine videos actually had musical montage tributes to Brody. I think I have one of them laying around.
